Glad its over and players can focus. As for incomings not a lot you can do if at the end they want to stay in the same country or go to a London club. It will take a few seasons for Unai to make us a destination club. What we have bought is gold. Rodger's has other clubs licking their lips and watching the youngsters, they are Mini Coopers who will become Ferrari's Our loans out are like ISAs. The returns will be top notch for next season. We're doing good business. We are just a club of hungry fans who have been given a nibble of the good stuff and wanting more. Patience is the word.

I think Mings returning to training and Bogarde performance means that without Carlos leaving they couldn’t get Gertrude in…. Or he fancied Leipzig more.

Good point about the Tieleman, slow start and he wasn't playing as good at Leicester as Barkley was at Luton

I like Bogarde, konsa was twenty when he made his breakthrough at Brentford, Swinkles is decent enough but probably needs a loan. Come next season I think we will have 4 players at CB all young in those two plus the Argentinian we have just bought at 19 and Feeney. Louie Barry has filled out and his finishing looks top notch, ok he’s not the tallest but I think next year he’ll be in the squad. So what I’m saying is we have a lot of talent in youth, we have invested heavily in it. This season is gonna be tough but I think we’ll be fine baring another rash of big injuries but we have deliberately lowered the squad’s age. Think about that? Teams that win things peak at 27-28 years old average, 5 years ago we were one of the youngest teams in the prem and we now have a team of internationals. This despite being in the champions league is us going through another cycle only this time the quality of our starting point is way higher.

I knew deep down we were probably not going to sign anyone on deadline day. Monchi and co. don’t strike me as panic - buying - deadline day - scrambling kind of operators. We have more than enough. Duran is here to stay, Buendia is back and Mings is on his way. Yes it would have been nice but I am more than happy with who we have brought in. In Unai, Monchi and NSWE we trust! UTV!

Terrible transfer window. Qualifying for champions league and losing luiz diaby and luiz for Onana and maatsen. 3 signings were fodder that no one wanted. Barkley a glorified sub… yeah great stuff

I think we are stronger than last year and really wanted Geertruida as i think that unlocks Maatsen going forward but Gerrard and PSR have done us in and we are rebuilding with the limitations we have been given, i am gonna be positive and say we could have dissapeared no to long back due shite ownership in the past, the futures bright the futures Villa

Confusing and disappointing window. Feels like we had our pants pulled down with the Luiz deal, to accept the 2 players as part of the deal just to send the both out on loan plus I believe £42 mil was rock bottom price. Doesn’t seem like the club has really spent any money and taking into account we’re in the Champions League this season. Think a lot of ppl felt like RB was one of the main positions we should be looking to upgrade this season yet we haven’t done it and now Cash is out again it’s all on the 18 year old kid and to be fair to him that’s a big ask ! Yes Konsa can play there but Konsa has admitted himself he’ll do it for the team but his best position is Centre Back. Can’t rely on Carlos cos he’s in and out with injury. Now I’m not saying Maatsen won’t be good for us but did we have to spend £38 mil on a Left Back if our hand are so tightly wrapped knowing we look quite weak over on the right side. Diaby got sold in a flash but no replacement, 19 goal involvements last season ? Amazed we are so tight to the money restriction line that we couldn’t get that Defender in on loan, Trevor Chalobah just gone to Palace . Just hope we’re not an injury away from a nightmare at the back , lot of games to play this season and it could well come back to bite us.

As fans we don't really know how the financial situation is in reality,so to judge on hearsay or guessing isn't the best & if the players aren't available too improve our squad it's better to wait & get the right players in at a later date,we can't afford to throw our money around & gamble our steady progress away & we're still paying in a negative way for past mistakes made, let's trust our elite people who are doing a great job for us. In Unai Emery we trust..... up the fuck'in Villa!!! 😁⚽✌️

Juventus couldn't afford the market value for Luiz so they had to offer two players with the deal . We had to sell before the end of June to comply with FFP regulations or get fined.It was either Luiz or Ramsey and Emery decided to go with the sale of Luiz .Not great but it had to be done unfortunately .Illing Junior and Barrenechea are assets and may be sold on adding profit so financially there is no loss.They may improve on loan and increase their market value or work their way into the squad , It's a win win IMO.

Much prefer for Bogarde to get 10/15 games this season as sub or occasional starts than spend £120k a week for someone that blocks his progress for the same amount of minutes.

I'm not too fussed about the Felix deal not going through because I'm convinced that Buendía can do exactly what Emery would have wanted Felix to do but better. I am very disappointed that we missed out on Geertruida. The fact that he can play RB and RCB would have been absolutely vital for so many different reasons. Hoping that this doesn't come back to bite us.

That's your opinion,but in football as well as in anything something is only worth what a buyer is prepared too pay for it & Villa/Chelsea obviously were prepared too pay for these players at the prices mentioned, buying any player is always a risk however much you check everything out,but buying younger players is far cheaper than buying more experienced players that still might not workout & if you can bring their full potential out you'll getting more profit if sold on or more years from them playing for you,if it helps navigate the rules then all the better for you. 😊
