Our children and I were devastated, especially because it happened right after Christmas. We would have loved that someone would have remembered us in a way like this. I read your comment and couldn’t believe it….i lost my husband 14 years ago this past April. He was 46 I was 44. Thank The Lord our youngest had married 9 months before and 9 months later they had their 1st son. Sometimes I don’t see how I make it without him. I am disabled due to gosh my body is a wreck. I have back and neck issues I have Charcot foot, which means I am on borrowed time losing my foot. And arthritis everywhere so I am 59 going on 80. But God has granted me 7 grandkids and 2 bonus ones to help me keep going. I pray you are making it and know there are others out here going through this with you. God Bless!!

We do a Cookie Swap for Shut-Ins at our church. We each bake 2 - 4 dozen cookies and then pack up 2 to 4 of each cookie, put em all in a DT plastic container, and deliver the cookie assortments to our elderly members. They get Christmas cookies to share with their visitors and it's a huge variety every year. (Plus it's a friendly check in on them in December to make sure they're doing ok 😉)

Also, the pick me up efforts for the lady who's facing health issues. That was so much fun!!! I myself have dealt with several sicknesses over the last 20 years. I’ve love this episode! I’ve been doing goodie plates and giving to elderly neighbours and friends for years. I buy all my plates at the thrift stores and wrap them with beautiful bows and add a Christmas card. They are always so thrilled and appreciative and I think they look forward to the visit every Christmas! It’s something I enjoy doing…you might be hooked too!
