Watching him run wires on these meat hooks so easily brings forth a rage only god could understand just from the absolute torture I went thru trying to run the wires for my 14” meathooks.
@sikbaggers6 ай бұрын
hahah man ive been there...i mentioned that at the end of the video..some meat hooks have a sharp angle inside them too which makes it a real pain to pull wires..but these have a flat 90 inside them..so much easier

@@sikbaggers I’ll keep that in mind if I’m ever brave enough to try to wire another set on my own!

Is it necessary to change to put poly bushing when changing handlebars and if so, can you make a video changing the bushings?
@sikbaggers3 ай бұрын
no you dont have to but you can. All you have to do is get it down to where I removed the handlebars and then youll see a pinch bolt on the neck and pinch bolts on the upper fork legs...tap the top tree off and then you have access to the bushings. Watch my other video here on T bars and it covers removing the tree top kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXisc4WondmXfqssi=qefc3Xgu-skqbWvd&t=622 and also at 11:35 you ca see how to put in new bushings.

Did you have any issue with the bars sitting in the mount correctly? On mine the welds are preventing it from sitting flush. It’s like I need to grind or file a little bit off of the mount for the bars to sit tight in the mount. The way mine currently is don’t seem safe, the knurled parts on mine arn’t even touching, they have a small 1/16 - 1/8” gap
@sikbaggers5 ай бұрын
no..everything sit in there just fine...give them a call they will make it right ..maybe send some pictures to their email

How much leverage did the bigger bars create on those rubber bushings? Stock has quite a bit of flex and I’m really not liking that.
@sikbaggers6 ай бұрын
no more flex than stock to be honest...you should change out your bushings to urethane bushing..I wouldnt go with solid ones unless you want your hands going to sleep form the vibrations
@neano623 ай бұрын
So there is no wire running through the bars if you have heated grips?
@sikbaggers3 ай бұрын
the wires for your grips are already in the wire harness in the bars so you only need to plug them in in the switch housing now. Super easy.

Can I put 12" Dominator Meathook bars without changing the cables out? Dominator does not make 11".
@sikbaggers3 ай бұрын
yes you can...move the two cables off the side of the neck like I showed in the video and youll be fine
@jaylobos40153 ай бұрын
@sikbaggers ok, I heard you mentioned on the video that 11" is the absolute highest we can go, making it a total of 13". If I go with a 12", it will make it a total of 14".
@jaylobos40153 ай бұрын
I ordered the 14" Dominator Meathooks, but from my research, I think I will have to buy the extended cables which I don't want to, so I am going to return them and get that 12".

@@jaylobos4015 aaah shit jay thats my bad man I didnt even look and see this comment was on the 24 bike...its weird on these bikes because some companies are listing them with the riser height included and some arent..id give them a call...they will know for sure
@jaylobos40153 ай бұрын
@sikbaggers The risers are, in fact, 2"? Correct? So, with my 14" bars, it will be a total of 16", which I think i will need cable extenders.

Hey Steve not that this has anything to do with this video but I have a 2010 streetglide that I need to roll the handlebars forward a inch or so, I ordered one of those T handle ignition tools from amazon so that I can get the lock and all realigned but I’m not really sure on how to use that tool, do you have any suggestions on this ?
