I've used this... It was a huge 4 storey building. The outside was fractured like an eggshell. (Assumed too much cement in the render, frost and heat fractured). Didn't know about the sheen level, as I hadn't used it before. The customer wanted me to take out and fill all the cracks. I advised against that, as the difference in stipple render, and flat filler, would be noticeable. Really glad I didn't do that... The sheen would have highlighted this tremendously on such a big building. Instead, I brushed all the cracks in with a couple of coats, hit the whole building with a couple more.. perfect paint for that job! I personally don't like the sheen level, but I'd use it again if the flexibility was an important factor. 👍

good to hear. My carks, filled, do show... but its that trade off with them being wide. :(

Probably a good option for park home exteriors which have a textured coating ( Resitex ) over plywood. It did sound a little contradictory though regarding the stay cleaner " anti carbonation " on the front of the tin and the get dirtier easier info on the back of the tin.

I thought that, but its only if its a high polution area.. most of us don't live next a coal fired power staition

Phil mate, I know this isn't to do with this video subject sorry! I have some moisture resistant MDF to do in a kitchen, we're working from the isomat range but the customer wants a matt finish on it, or as little sheen as possible. Will premium be alright or bath and kitchen better says it's a flat Matt finish? Would I be able to do 123 to prime, sand caulk and fill, 123 again, then right on with topcoat (allow for 3 coats)? Or would I be better to use an isomat primer in-between the 123 and the topcoat? If so which one would you reckon? Cheers.
@ProfessionalPainterDecorator4 ай бұрын
hi. use the isomat all-primer. are you wanting it in an emulsion, or a woodwork finish? if so, go eggshell on the Isomat Isolac paint....

@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator thanks mate, I've got loads of all primer in stock so can do She wants matt emulsion, when I showed examples of the eggshell and satin she said too much sheen but said isomat premium finish was what she wanted. I've just never used it as an MDF topcoat so a bit wary.

Why do you never show yourself prepping, painting and doing all the jobs in-between.

Ppl moan about seeing that. So I didn't show any on this video as it wasn't anything different from the other exterior painting videos previously painting the walls

That paint is ok , but if the suface is not smooth or even , it will show evey bit of a small patched up area etc due to the sheen. Just like silk paint does.
