Thank you! I wanted to make it as beginner friendly as possible. I realised a lot of beginners were watching my content, and I was using terms that only planted tank people would understand. And if I'm honest, it gives me a chance to shamelessly play with a few plants that I've been too much of a stob to enjoy in the past.

I like the 20 ppm nitrate/50% water chage rule. Can't get easier than that. Tank looks good with the new plants.

@@aquaticfanaticsuk Agreed! I use the water from water changes to water the house plants, the patio plants, and I'll run the siphon hose out on the front lawn too. Out potted plants haven't looked this good until got back into fish keeping. Cheers!

I have a community tank in the living room, plenty of fish, fine gravel substrate only and hygrophila Polysperma that thrives in there.

I love dirted tanks with heavy root feeders
