I did it! Thanks to you, I "just filmed". Editing took me more than that hour and the quality itself is cringy. But I'm beating perfectionism and accept that they will only get better if I keep making them. And your callout to the over 40's (I'm 39 and a half today😆) really hit me as well. I've been attempting and thinking about this since my early 20's. NOW is the time! Thank you, Virginia, for showing us how it looks when you "just do it"!😘

You remind me of myself. I love and wear the same type of tops. I’m not a big girl, and I’m only a few years older. Your KZbin style is how I want mine to be; casual and down to earth. Maybe that’s why I stick around. Or maybe it’s because you’re just so likable. When I thought of starting my channel, I bought more suit jackets, and I was ready to deliver as professional as I could. You have me convinced that people want something relatable and not stuffy. So, I made a complete 180. For that reason, I’m all in and watch you without fail, unlike other channels I’m subscribed to. Again, you go girl! How can people not absolutely adore you!

@christianpratt3 ай бұрын
Quick comment on the iPhone front versus rear camera. The rear (selfie) camera is a smaller, lower resolution sensor. In low light it really struggles to perform (ie. don't use it in low light - lots of digital 'noise') but because you have such a good lighting rig, it's able to work at its best. If you're preferring it over the front camera that's probably because the lower resolution is effectively blurring (smoothing!) the finer details on your face. The front camera, in contrast, is much more detailed - and that's what you're seeing. It's arguably less flattering for pieces to camera, but better for pretty much all other filming (objects, scenes). (If you knew this - forgive me! 😀)
@ThisIsVirginiaKerr3 ай бұрын
I did know but I love that you gave me permission to use the smoother version ❤️ So many say you can't use it gor talking head videos

Many people have mentioned natural light is great, but I think I even scare myself in these videos! 🤣 Thank you for offering!
@ThisIsVirginiaKerr4 ай бұрын
You don’t want the sun to be direct. You may need to step back or add something to soften the light like a sheer white curtain. Or find a different window with less light. In the beginning it’s figuring out what works so you have a system. ❤️

Hi there thank you! At first glance- I would try to get back to some more how to and before and afters in your thumbnails and titles.
