I’ve never written on here… but I could use some prayer for community. I need it and I know God wants that for me, but I have terrible anxiety going to church alone, and I don’t even have a home church right now. Thank you for the reminder Charles!!!!

Prayers out too you Joanna! God will reveal to you in times the right direction through the Holy Spirit and will fill you with love and comfort when you find your church and your prayers are answered. Until you find your church home continue watching online and center Jesus at the core of ur life! Everything will work out beautiful and your doing so good! Love :)

I know exactly how you feel! It took me finally realizing I was in charge of the life I created and if church community was something I wanted I had to make the step on my own to finally have the courage to attend church by myself. And once I did it it wasn’t nearly as hard as I’d imagined and I was definitely not the only one attending alone, either. 😊 sending prayers your way!

I am a Holy Rebel. I refuse to live in shame. Today, I release the shame of my past and stand confidently knowing that my past in forgiven. God has a plan for my future. I refuse to be bitter. No matter what culture says. I will not allow the sin of offence to take root in my soul. I will live my life to be a blessing to everyone I come in contact with. I refuse to powerless. Today I step out of my own power and call on the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the source of my strength and in Him is everything I need for the purpose I have been given. I refuse to be alone. My purpose is not solely for me. God has put me on this earth to be in relationships with others and I will continue to take the risk of relationships. I will not back down. I will not quit. Because I was created with the power and the purpose to stand up and to stand out. Today the Kingdom of God will be established on earth through me. A Holy Declaration Charles Metcalf-TC August 27, 2023

I really love Charles preachings, especially when he brings attention to anxiety/panic attacks. You’re right we are enough and it doesn’t define us 💖🥹 I’ve had people tell me anxiety means we don’t trust God, but I refuse to believe that. Thank you TC for changing my Christian Life.

A “chief of staff” in the church is weird to me you never heard of Peter calling himself chief of anything because it's not wise to exalt yourself over other believers. The Hierarchy system in the body of Christ couldn't have been the vision of the early church. You notice it says in Romans 1:16 the Gospel of Christ is the power of God to all who believe, not motivational messages, not props, not preaching discipline, not cracking corny jokes, not wearing flashy outfits, and all the silly things that go on in these institutionalized churches big and small.
@deja1820 Жыл бұрын
Hey Brother in Christ! I get what you’re saying. I encourage you to read over Acts 6: 1-7 where the 12 disciples delegated the task of food distribution to other disciples so that they could direct their full “attention to prayer and the ministry of the word” Acts 6:4 because their purpose was different than “waiting on tables”. There is a hierarchy in a sense that we all have different purposes and we’re called to serve in different ways. The title of someone’s position just makes it easier for organization so other people know who is in charge of what. There is nothing wrong with that. The only issue that can stem from “hierarchy” is an abuse of power and we wouldn’t know who is abusing power if we’re not present in the church ☺️ so, it’s not fair to judge.
@deja1820 Жыл бұрын
Would also like to add John the Baptist had an unusual outfit, as well. He was quite different than what the Pharisees were used to but was still used by God to prepare the way for Jesus.
@rodney818 Жыл бұрын
@@deja1820 Matt 23:10 Jesus said the hierarchy system was how the ungodly lord over one another. , if you study the gifts in the Bible they are not titles but gifting. There’s no office of a pastor in the Bible lol it’s man made. There’s no pastor John , there’s no prophet peter, we called Paul the Apostle Paul but he never went by that title because he understood it was a gifting not an office. The early church didn’t call anyone their pastor or shepherd but Christ 😳. They referred to each other as brother, sister, beloved, saints , nobody was exalted but Christ.
@deja1820 Жыл бұрын
@@rodney818 that’s a good verse and a great point when viewed in the correct context. I personally don’t think it’s against God to give people titles in the sense that it only defines their responsibilities (or gifting, as you put it). But I do agree with you in a sense that you shouldn’t lord your title (or gifts) over anyone or claim that your gifts were given to you by man and not God.
@rodney818 Жыл бұрын
@@deja1820 I’m not saying God is against giving people titles, but rather there wasn’t a hierarchy system in the early church They didn’t use titles to exalt themselves over another that happened when Christianity got intertwined with Roman and Greek culture. Titles inevitably attract power-hungry, narcissistic people that’s how cults are born and abuse happens in the church. There were no celebrities in the church but rather respected men but all members were respected and encouraged to use their gifts led by the Spirit of God rather than 1 man called a paster. I encourage you study church history and how institutional churches was born beloved.
