I have a filing cabinet in my art studio as well- it was a game changer for me when I purchased it- I’m currently looking to add another one. I even hang my ceramic palettes in hanging file folders. I’m hoping to store more in another cabinet… and hopefully freeing up some of my cluttered spaces!

What a lovely craftroom ❤, thank you verry much for this inspiring roomtour! I live (by my own choice) in a big bell tent (a sort of glamping tent) because I have a heartproblem and astma and I can breath more freely in my tent. My craftspace is my bed and my crafttools are organized in woven baskets / plastic containers and envelopes. My desk is a breakfast tabel, adjustable in hight, on my bed. It works pretty well, but I have to be pretty efficient, I can't hord 😅. I have a boho themed interior that I absolutely love, with gnomes and fairies.

Really enjoyed your studio tour! There were many things that were familiar, similar to my own style and use of space, and a wealth of new ideas for me to play with. As a crafter with more time than money at my disposal, I especially appreciated upcycled things like your cut down boxes fashioned into paper trays. Painting the boxes is a lovely touch, something I look forward to using in my own space. Having just inherited a short file cabinet, storing papers in hanging files is a great idea. Like you, I love having my supplies visually accessible, both to spark my creativity, and for the pleasure it brings me to see pretty things. While watching your tour sparked lots of ideas now, I have saved it to watch on repeat later, since you have such a wealth of ideas that are new to me. Thanks so much for sharing your delicious studio with us, and for being such an inspiration for creative, functional work spaces.

What a delight spending time in your "sanctuary"! I love so much of this room...all the old repurposed furniture, pieces of art, the vision boards are fabulous and the way you hang all your ribbon and lace trims, the way the floor creeks! So much inspiration! A year ago now, we had one of our children move out which allowed me an actual room (rather than a corner in the basement) to spread out! It is full of so many things that inspire me as well and has become my little haven that I try and find time every day. Thank you for sharing your space, your storage and your stash! I hope one day you will share the story of "Mini Me" and her alter ego with us!!

You inspired me with your previous organizing video series to hang all of my ribbons, trims and laces. I found a video where a girl used embroidery bobbins to thread the ribbon through and then put on large book rings. I ended up making a lot of my own out of chipboard. Now I have gorgeous bundles of colored ribbons and laces that I hang off of a standing rack that has wire baskets. Anything too bulky to hang, I have in the baskets. I love how you painted your drawers and the butterfly drawer pulls are just stunning! Thank you so much for your continued inspiration!!! 💕

Hi Kathleen. I very much enjoyed your studio tour. You are so organized, and I think it's great! I like the idea of organizing things according to the job that they do. I know what you mean about needing more horizonal space. All of my horizonal space seems to be covered up at the moment--like the moment that's lasted a year or so. I walk in and think "I've got to do something about this, and sometimes I do. But sometimes I walk right back out again, or I push things aside and make something. I’m a file cabinet person also, not too many of us around. Mine used to be just functional but now only one of the four drawers holds important papers. All the rest are craft items, I have one drawer of images in hanging file folders and then another drawers have coffee died 8 1/2 x 11, coffee dyed card stock, coffee dyed 9 x 12, coffee dyed envelopes, Index cards, Rolodex cards all those type of things, stickers, colored dyed paper, etc. I really like the hanging folders.

I really enjoyed this tour! I appreciated your inspirational art pieces all around the room, things that bring you joy. The "theme" in my craft room is my snarky humor. I look at my collection all around the room and just smile. I love your rolling pieces! I have a hutch on wheels, but it does NOT roll easily. 🤨You've inspired me to powwow with my dear hubby to see if we can do something different with those wheels. I learned from The Clutter Bug that I need organization in small categories (a different box for each color of paper vs one big box for "paper"). And I need things visible. If something is in a box with a lid that I can't see through, I might as well give its contents away! Though it's all organized, I still have WAY TOO MUCH. And you've inspired me to attack my bread collection first. Thank you, dear fellow junk journaler! You've made my day!

You made the comment about books- a few years ago, I did a declutter after we had storm damage and I gave away ten boxes of books and you honestly can't tell I gave any away. Thank you for the updated room tour! I live in a small log cabin-style home with only one bedroom. There is no additional room where I can set up a studio so my crafting space and storage areas need to fit in with the rest of the house and be asthetically pleasing. I really appreciate seeing the ways other people do that such as your use of real peices of furniture as well as the way you've made your new wire shelving unit on wheels look good. Even the filing cabinet looks great. It's also useful to hear how others sort their supplies. We don't all do it the same way and sometimes I get a real lightbulb moment listening to someone else. Lest I sound like I'm complaining about the size of my house, I should say I love it, deliberately chose a smaller home, and do not plan to purchase a larger one, lol.
