Instruction sheet lists 3x AG1 batteries (but works well with 2). Not sure if it's just my copy but there is heavy light bleed from the back of the head and seam where the front and back pieces meet. Not complaining as it gives a presence of a fiery backside on the head. Also has nub marks over certain areas and makes it kind of rough and not as clean compared to other metal builds I've seen from other companies. Elbows are actually double jointed. There is another joint just above the elbow. It's very tight though and gives greater than a 90 degree bend. Scales well with 1/6 figures, but this Mecha Hellboy is more short and stocky instead of tall and lean. Also attach the shoulder guards back on to fill out the shoulder area of the coat. Excalibur has certain parts of the blade that extend out to expose an orange inlay as well. It's an awesome figure and definitely fun to play with (despite it being heavy).😂

I’ve got some light bleed as well, I’ll try the jacket with the shoulder pads , just found it easier removing the as it gives more range

Did you figure out how to change the batteries? I don't see it in the instructions.

@GetterBoi pull the whole neck assembly off. Grip the lower red piece (close to the base) of the neck and pull or push downwards . It will slide off. But it can be tight the first time around and may need some gentle wiggling at first. But it can be tricky sliding it back on as it easily gets caught. The red piece may need to be carefully lifted to give it enough clearance to slide back into place.

I imagine the lower on this one could be that they design a suit based on the golden army robots or something and this is specially designed to help him fight as like Mecha armor.

This thing is amazing, and it's not super expensive among figures of that size and quality. However at almost 12 inches tall it's just too big for my display area. It seems kind of like a waste of material to give him two separate heads when the horns could easily be detached.

Went to order this after seeing this vid, it is 25000 yen on Amazon Japan, about $192, less than most other sites

You need to factor in shipping/import costs on top of the cost of the product. It is also by 3rd party sellers not associated with Amazon. So if something wrong with order or product defect, you may not get after sales support and left in your own.

I think i like the 'default' arm better SOLELY because it has a spinning revolver like champer in it. Reminds me of the Altiesan from Super Robot Wars OG. Love this figure. Only downside so far is attaching the other big fist is pretty hard as it doesn't seem to connect as securely as the original arm. May just be mine.

It's extremely difficult to put on at first. But it becomes easier afterwards. But you're correct. It doesn't sit securely as the other arm. It can easily come off when manipulating the arm.

Ben, does the shoulder joint have trouble holding up the right hand of doom? A different review showed the a right hand dropping down when positioned up high.

I had no issues on mine. I had it posed with his arm extended as if to grab you. No drooping and this is with the bigger spiky arm. Stood in that pose for a few days. Switched it up and now have a balled fist held high and holds pose well. Also have his overcoat on him too.

The three issues I have with mine is that the fingers on his left, smaller, hand aren't pinned at the joints and so keep falling apart - pretty sure one of them is going to break at the middle joint soon if I keep having to pop it back on every time I bend it - his normal head doesn't stay on the pegs attached to the light up eye gimmick very well and the hoof surrounds are only held on with friction so keep popping off. Other than those he's absolutely rock solid and has a RIDICULOUS amount of heft.

Have you contacted the seller retailer? Maybe they can contact the company for replacement of the defective part.

I had the same problem. It came popped off and it looks like its about to break at one of the finger joints. The company I purchased it from was not very helpful. It is licensed by DarkHorse but who is the manufacturer? Zen of Collectable??

I dunno... I'm not a gigantic HB fan or anything, but this just doesn't really quite feel like him. Being a mech his oversized stone forearm doesn't really stand out as different with this figure, it just looks like a more armored arm. And honestly I could go with a more beaten up coat, but that's just personal preference.

Since this isn't really Hellboy, they really could've added a large left forearm. It would look better if he has with both horns and two large forearms.
