That last point about enemy parries is one of the reasons Grimlock is so strong. If he gets parried during his vehicle attack he stays in dino form, and his dinobot shove command attack is a rush attack, with full invincibility that can't be parried, and a guaranteed vehicle attack flash that doesn't need you to hit the enemy to trigger. (This isn't addressed at you Saur I'm just commenting in general)

Excellent series. Thanks for exposing the intricacies and love Platinum crafted in this game. You can feel the possibilities when you play any of the characters. It's a beautiful system.

Yo these are so good. Thanks for clarifying the weaknesses of each class! Overdrive is something I just started paying attention to despite playing the game for a while, too. I wonder what each level of it does.

I want to see you really play one of these games. Like, just sit down and beat the shit out of some enemies without explaining anything or even working your way through the campaign.

So when I was playing this game a few months ago I remember being frustrated that the enemies could parry my attacks mid-combo. At the end of the video you mention you can react to this with command moves (ie the shove). Does this consistently let the player extend combos indefinitely if they input the shove quick enough? Sorry if you touch on this in a later video, feel free not to answer if that's the case.

Yes this is consistent, there's nothing else to it so it won't be covered again.The enemy parry animation can be interrupted with a command attack, just as long as you are quick enough to anticipate.

I know that one of the biggest points of contention of Bayonetta 2 was the way it had multiple enemy types that could parry your attacks, which limited a lot of the offensive play in that game. Would you say that Transformers handles enemy parries better since from the looks of this video, it seems that enemy parries are easier to work around than in Bayo 2? It seems that enemies have more of a pattern to parrying attacks that you could take advantage of while Bayo 2's enemy parries just seemed kind of random.

What I love about Transformers and the original Bayonetta is that they are based on rules which can be known by the player. Bayonetta 2's enemies by contrast have no clear structure; they do what they do "because reasons".

Is there a way to know for sure when an enemy will combo break you? I've been playing on prime difficulty and enemies love just breaking you out of everything. They'll even dodge reversals, parry vehicle attacks, and I've had Optimus's big trailer sweep parried.

As far as I know there isn't (as far as the base system is concerned). There may be a way to reduce the chance of a Parry through the RPG elements/weapon stats, but I'm not certain as I've not explored that aspect.

How about Soundwave's cassettes? I'm guessing they aren't worth mentioning because anything works on them. Would they still come under a type though? or are they more like annoyances such as the little Insecticons?

Yes, the cassettes and small Insecticons are Light class.

Ok cool. Was just wondering because I never noticed much in terms of reaction from them but I'm guessing because of their size and the fact that they are so weak, along with all the hit effects obscuring them. How about big Insecticons? Their alt forms seems to be a special case. Like, when you hit them they aren't knocked back into robot form.

NewBirdman27 Yup, the big Insecticons are Medium Class (Large Size) but their Alt form behaviour is slightly different (it's like Grimlock's).

Ok. What about Blitzwing and I think one or two of the Constructicons? Is there a condition to making the reversal launch them or is it not possible? because they don't react to it. Sorry if you've already covered this.

NewBirdman27 For boss characters you need to look at them on a case by case basis. They're all based on the 3 weight classes I've covered.

I wish items wouldn't disappear so damn quickly, or would at least pull a bayonetta 2 and automatically absorb everything once you've beaten all enemies, jeez wheres "get more orbs" when you need it!

Yes Grimlock can throw off a Stun or Back-Turn. The other characters can pick up regular sized enemies after a Knockdown.

***** I am working my way for the achievements.It's interesting how at first Prime Difficulty was a nightmare but now,suddenly when all kinda clicked with me I am,more or less,destroying everything on Prime!Well,leveled up weapons and characters help too! Great work in your videos as well!I am 3rd day into the game and am constantly discovering new stuff,and am yet to go deeper into it.

No, I don't play games any more. Double Vehicle Attacks are easy; certain combo chains trigger 2 of them, you just need to learn which ones. Bumblebee for example has loads of them.
