Definitely getting the Insecticon pack. Barrage was one of my childhood original G1 Transformers. Very clever retools. Breakdown is growing on me, but I want Windsweeper more.

These Insecticons feel more like bugs than the original trio.

Which makes sense if you think about their original toys. The main trio were more like mechs that were vaguely bug-shaped (especially with the wheels and cockpits) while the deluxe ones were closer to the real-world bugs they were emulating.

Original trio came from diaclone where they were just military vehicles that kind of looked like bugs. Deluxe instecticons came from completely different toyline, even company and those toys were designed to be just bugs.

I might be in the small group but I love that bulk head mold, definitely will pick of breakdown because hes a recolour. love the colour pallete of the Insecticon transformers too. If I had it my own way I would have included some parts forming shoulder pads to make it look closer to the prime design. The bulkhead mold could totally be retooled to be a rescuebot Salvage.

Im honestly scared for the Ruckus & Bludgeon two pack. The listing was wrong for the Breakdown so i have an odd feeling that Bludgeon might be an Octopunch. I wouldn’t be complaining about getting a new Octopunch but he’ll unfortunately most likely be a Deluxe, hoping for at least a Voyager because most of his appearances in media all show him as “Leader class” size. Also giving Beachcomber two 5mm ports behind his neck is really thought out by Hasbro

Sucks that these deluxe Insecticons always have to be retools of the regular Insecticons. Even Fansproject did this. Wonder what they are doing with Venom but he'll probably be a retool of someone else. These Legacy ones are decent. I'll preorder a set for now and see if they drop later to get another set or two.

I'm disappointed with Breakdown and Windsweeper for being just repaints and Windsweeper couldn't get a new pair of guns that were Molded around his arms. I do like the Barrage and Chop Shop with their little forge of Solus Prime they come with. I'm worried on how their going to do Ruckus for his 2 pack with Bludgeon.

I hope that APC will make a KO of original Prime Breakdown figure someday. This Breakdown looks good, but i'd like to see Bulkhead and Breakdown as different molds, because now they look like twins. But honestly, Breakdown and Windsweeper pack is lazy. They just gave them new heads and paint jobs. I at least expected that they will give Windsweeper his own guns, but instead they just repainted NN's targetmasters. Meanwhile, they did fantastic job with Chop Shop and Barrage. Strange...
