Here is the exclusive Top Gun Collab Maverick. In case your wondering I decided to not transform his nose cone because I felt it looked better in his transformation to leave it. By far this transformer is the blandest color scheme yet.

The transformation really makes me think of the macross valkyries, and having 3 of the chogokin valkyries, they really feel similar, maybe even repaint this one as the tomcat from macross zero or give it a more gritty job and use model decals to give it a more realistic color

The paint definitely looks accurate to fleet birds from the mid 80s-late 90s. Tomcats had this thing where they wouldn’t wash them on cruise as much as the Hornets and Intruders unfortunately. But yeah the color and weathering is accurate. In fact, VF-213’s F-14D CAG Jet on the Final Tomcat cruise in 2005-2005 was an identical grey albeit with blue accents

I finally got this guy and feel that plain color so painful. I really hope they do revise color and landing gear to release this and the F-18 and any other aircraft and give us more crossovers in the future at release of Top Gun: Maverick! So getting ready to paint mod this...cant handle Plaines.

Good video overall. I ended up cancelling my pre-order for this. Just not down with it after seeing the overall transformation, and other design choices and whatnot. $50 is better spent on other exclusives I'm more excited for.

It was the most memorable part of the movie for me. Just had to bring it back. Wow podcast eh that's amazing many thx man. I always wanted to put these figures and toys into some sort of skit or video. Never thought it would turn out to be much. Because of people like you and others I got keep stepping it up and do better.

So sad this did not turn out better. Although it technically has a lot of "paint" apps because of the weathered look, it looks very lacking in the paint department. Also, as mentioned the type of plastic and color is just such a let down. I pre-ordered him because I am a fan of the movie and a fan of jets. I'm definitely going to apply some panel lining and some more paint apps including on the front tire to bring out more of the potential of this figure. It there wasn't so many little and accurate printed details around the cockpit I would have done a full repaint. Glad it exists, sadly it just needs some love. Even made more sad seeing how expensive this is. BTW if Hasbro does a cross over with, KITT from Knight Rider, the A Team van, Air Wolf, Blue Thunder AND Firefox I would buy them all.

Unlike Gigawatt, this figure doesnt serve both the TF and the Movie side quite as well. Im a TF and a Topgun fan, and this figure is just weak in both aspect. Glad i skipped it. Thanks for the detailed review btw!

Personally this doesn't make any sense... Unlike the Ecto-1 and Back to the Future Delorian which are custom builds that are iconc to those movies, the Jet from Top Gun is just an actual real world vehicle. It makes it less interesting as a crossover. The actual movie itself it just as iconic as Ghost Busters and Back to the Future but there's no real iconic vehicle that is exclusive specifically to the movie since they used real world jets.
