Interesting fact: that BW grimlock is actually the same G1 grimlock. I believe he lost his body or his body got wounded so he got a new body and had few improvements

Arrrgh - why couldn't they have packaged sideswipe & mirage together and do the Beast Wars pair in a separate 2 pack?! I am not a fan of Beast Wars & just want the G1 characters, but makes it awkward getting rid of the unwanted characters with shared packaging.

The Grimlock is the selling point for me and in beast mode of all :) The Grimlock is actually based on an original Beast Wars toy, which I think is kind of odd but it looks cool.

I am pleasantly excited for this set. The mirage will be perfect once somebody (like Nonnef Productions or JRC Design) can come up with some sort of part to give him the shoulder cannon. Grimlock is ok but I’m probably going to just store him away. Or consider customize him into those cyborg raptors from the cartoon. Now “Come On Hasbro! ” Bring on Earth mode Hound!!!!

If you have any of the earthrise cliff jumper molds, you can use one piece of the rocket launcher in mirage’s back port and slant it around his head so that his shoulder cannon sits In the right place

Just as with Sideswipe and Skywarp, I already have this set preordered. Although I will admit, it was actually Mirage that made me reluctant to do so, as, at first glance, I thought that he was going to be just another straight repaint of Siege Mirage. It was only when other people started pointing out the differences that I got onboard. I don't know. I waited a LONG TIME for more Beast Wars toys, so now that we have them, and for the most part they're good, I'm pretty happy and will take all the repaints/retools we can get.

These two-packs are so strange. Everyone who wants them seems to either want them only for the G1 characters, and couldn't care less about the Beast Wars figures. Or are just after the Beast Wars character, and couldn't care less about the G1 figures. It probably would have been better if they'd put Sideswipe and Mirage in a two-pack together, and then Skywarp and Grimlock together. Personally, I'm a big Beast Wars fan and only care about getting Skywarp and Grimlock. Mirage and Sideswipe are just a nice bonus that I'm largely indifferent about.

The reason why they packaged them like this is because it will make the most money. People who only wanted the g1 figures or people who wanted only the beast wars figures would have to buy both of packs instead of 1 of them

No, there was an original beast wars figure of grimlock that was also a repaint of dinobot. I'm glad they're being pretty faithful because the old figure was made out of a gold plastic that will crumble apart with pretty much the slightest touch.

These double packs are really disappointing, would love the autobot figure alone, have zero interest in these BW2 figures, so hard pass. Totally wanted a kingdom version of Grimmlock in G1 style though, shame. Would love a Kingdom devastator and blitzwing too, doubting that will happen though.
