My complaint would be the disjointed ankles. I really do wish there were some kinda sliding panel mechanism to cover the loss of ankles and make it seem like Tracks has fuller shins! 🤗

@@bphater31 nah, painted windows look so cheap. They should go back to doing them right and making clear plastic inserts for just the windows and keeping the main parts with the hinges and tabs made of solid plastic.

Haha! My favorite part was from 0:27 - 0:57. It went from "I LOVE THIS FIGURE" all the way down to "It's ok...it's not super great" in about 30 seconds. It's ok to like what you like. No shame in that!

I'm happy that, even though you were biased for the Tracks character, in the end you still mentioned that they over engineered it. I said the same thing about his legs. Those side panels did not work out the way they wanted them to and they leave a big gap between his feet and shin.

I can tell you that his wings should have red stripes so they will probably do that, plus a better logo and flame logo on the hood, the usual window decals and emblem badges, shin decals like the toy had, I'd like to see stickers to make his feet blue but it's not a deal breaker.

chefatron - It’s obvious that HasTak was going for a mini masterpiece. To me the let down here is how there is no hidden/internal weapons storage in car mode. What made the reveal the shield Tracks so cool was that everything tucked inside the care perfectly. However I’m not canceling my pre-order yet because I always like the idea of a proper flying car. Sorta like an 80’s James Bond kind of car. Tracks was that. It looks like the flight mode clearly more stable in Kingdom Track, if only they made the arms snapped or locked into the body. Bot mode looks more stable than the Reveal the Shield version (my copy is a loose ball joint nightmare). Another possible cool thing I have noticed is how narrow Tracks is in car mode. Can we get an image or confirmation that Tracks fits perfectly in Leader Earthrise Optimus Prime’s Trailer?

Immediately there was a problem in vehicle mode, I identified it and modded my figure. There’s 2 little half tabs on his legs that form together into one big tab that tabs in under the front of the windshield, something wasn’t molded right to fit at all, so the windshield wouldn’t tab to the hood. So I cut the tabs off of the legs and it fit just fine. They’re useless anyways since the windshield has little tabs that fit under the hood. An argument could be made that the windshield held the middle of the legs together better, but even without them, everything else that tabs together, does that job just fine. I tried my damndest to tab them into the square hole under the windshield, but it just wasn’t happening. The moment they were gone, there were no parts fighting for real estate and it all clicked together just fine.

I agree with you. Hasbro dropped the ball on this one. It looks...unfinished, engineering and paint wise. This figure practically screams for third party decals and 3D printed parts. And that will drive a $23 dollar (US) figure up to $30 or more. Like you said, they could have made the head white plastic. And then used the paint budget to paint the wings. Reeeeeeeally on the fence with getting this one. Great review Chef, keep 'em coming!

Great review! To be honest, this figure embodies everything I don't like about modern Deluxe Transformers. Everything looks so flimsy and fragile, and I hate that so many parts are cast out of clear thin plastic, yet you're required to use force at certain stages of the transformation. Despite having such an over-the-top complicated transformation, it still relies on shell-forming and fake car kibble to pull off the look. Also, why the hell did they paint the head white instead of casting it out of white plastic?! The head could have easily come from the same sprue as the shoulders and wings. There's those, and there's the size. If the size comparison at 5:23 is anything to go by, and having seen Warpath IRL; I sense this thing's gonna be small. Well; I'm glad you like it at least.

Hey man, nice job. Tracks is at best an OK figure. I’m not too mad because he was basically free for me, and hey, it’s Tracks, which is awesome. That being said… He’s a pain in the ass to transform, and the feet being on the fender is definitely an issue. His legs are just a nightmare. The bot mode is hobbled by having the whole top of the car on his back. All those aside, the car does do a good job recalling the *coughCorvettecough* without getting too close, and definitely could pass as a cartoon version. The bot mode is absolutely Tracks and he does it well, too. The flying car mode actually being factored into some of the details is a nice touch. Overall, I’m happy with mine.

Not as bad as I feared, but not really an improvement on RTS Tracks or especially G1 Tracks. It feels like it’s going to break with every transformation, the brittle kibble is terrible and the head sculpt isn’t that that great.

Sorry this figure doesn't do it for me. I don't like the transformation and the faux chest gimmick that Hasbro is being overusing it a lot for a while. Hate to say it, but I'm sticking with my G1 Tracks and that Squat and chubby guy from Reveal the Shield. Until they get it right......Eventually. For me is an Easy pass.

This version of Tracks sucks! It’s to rickety when trying to transform it to car mode. After a dozen tries, it takes 4 minutes to transform as compared to 28 seconds with the G1 version.
