With the reveal of the WFC Game figures for Studio Series, fingers crossed we will finally have an update to the FOC Jazz. I’m absolutely looking forward to getting this guy. This is one of the more cooler Cybertronian modes.

Makes sense this new Jazz is slightly heavier, He has solid thighs and screws holing them together vs the hollow thighs on modern Jazz. The plastic making up his "Shell" is also pretty thick. Overall, I really like this little bot and can't wait to see if and how they do a Wheeljack.

Outstanding review Chefatron!!! I'm really impressed with how accurate this figure is compared to Jazz's G1 cartoon animation model. :D I hope we will get Origins Wheeljack someday. Keep on being amazing.

I bought Legacy Inferno last night, my last TF figure was way back in 2018 and I notice, that the plastic does not have the shinny or pristine look to it, but I must say the plastic feel much more solid today, that it can handle 1 hour of stress due to the process of transformation.

Great review as always. Definitely getting to display with the Origin Bumblebee. Just unboxed and displayed my War for Cybertron series, seige earthrise and kingdom. Now I have nearly 200 generations transformers on the shelves.

I figured they'd make wheeljack first,the appearance of jazz in his cybertronian alt mode was very very brief.I already own the SS86 so I'm gonna wait and hope the price drops to $10-$15 like the origins bumblebee did when I bought it because it was so overstocked. As of March 21st 2023 the cheapest I've seen the origins jazz is $40 online being he's not even been officially released yet anywhere in the US as far as I know.

This looks like a great figure. I managed to get my preorder in with Target. Can't wait to have it! The grappling hook looks amazing with that blast effect. It has a very dynamic look. Great review, Chef!

Bandai likes to use thin wire to use with their tethered accessories. Also: every figure with fold-away hands should have a 5mm port on the opposite end.

I have this figure only because I want a jazz, like I absolutely hate the alt mode (it’s not actually bad I just don’t like most cybertron modes regardless) but it’s the best jazz I’ve ever handled by far.

I thought studio series Jazz looked great initially, but looking at him compared to the Origins version there is no contest. The Origins version just looks so much better. The chest on that studio series version just looks too large and ridiculous. This in my mind is sort of a continuation of the Siege line along with the Origins Bumblebee. I also find that in most cases the robot modes of the Siege (and these Origins figures) just look better than the earth mode robot mode counterparts. I never displayed my Transformers in their alt modes as a kid and I really don't do that now. Accurate robot modes are what are most important to me. These fit the bill. That said, this is my Jazz until the day something better comes along mainstream wise.

Great review my friend. I really like this figure so i pre-ordered it earlier today. It reminds me of a James Bond car that transformed into a submarine in one of the 007 movies. Now all we need is Wheeljack, BUT i really wouldn't mind if we get some more figures in Cybertron modes, like Optimus Prime. I know we got one before from the computer games and WFC, but it looked way too much like the regular Earth Mode. I would like to get a G1 Cybertron mode that actually looks alien.

I didn’t think any deluxe jazz would beat the reveal the shield figure for me… ss86 came super close, but wasn’t quite better imo. But this origin version is honestly my favourite of them!! I thought it was gonna be ‘meh’ but it pleasantly surprised me and i’m so glad i got him lol
