Transformers Legacy - Silverstreak Review

This figure was a must-buy for me, just because when I was a kid it drove me nuts BlueStreak had this color scheme in his box art and instructions, but the figure was silver with red robot bits. For years I though I had gotten a revision or variant or just a defective one. The "blue" BlueStreak was kinda a holy grail to me and my friends growing up until we got the internet and found out the art was just a holdover from Diaclone and there effectively never was a blue BlueStreak in America at least. At the same time I have to acknowledge the limitations of this mold family (articulation on translucent parts tends to be fragile) and the fact I have bought it 8 times now between the Seige and Earthrise iterations (I even skipped the Sparkless Bot and Earthrise Barricade). If this was any other redeco and not one of my childhood obsessions, I'd probably be skipping.

Agreed. HasTak has definitely milked this mold, but I'm glad you were finally able to get a Bluestreak with this color scheme! Thanks!

i'd pick this up for usd$23 in a heartbeat! out here in Manila, if we ever do get him, he will retail for usd$34 minimum... you guys don't know how lucky you are with your lower prices compared prices here in Asia

Wow, I didn't realize there was that much of a price difference. It's interesting to see it from another perspective. Maybe $23 isn't so bad! BTW, love your reviews man!

Facts: "Silverstreak" is the nickname of the original '80's almost all-silver G1 Bluestreak figure. This figure is a homage to the original Diaclone Bluestreak figure that was later recycled to become the almost all-silver G1 Bluestreak figure (aka G1 Silverstreak figure). Are you familiar with the Masterpiece Transformers toyline? If so, MP-18S is G1 Silverstreak and MP-18B is Diaclone Bluestreak.

I personally don’t consider Silverstreak a separate character. He’s technically Diaclone Bluestreak, but I’m gonna use him as an upgraded form like Goldbug/Bumblebee

Mine had the same problem with the arms, doors and the weapon ports. You're not the only one.😅

I actually like THIS color more than the Bluestreak we’ve all known for close to 40 years now. I don’t know why Hasbro changed the color.
