Transformers One is a 2024 American animated science fiction action film based on Hasbro's Transformers toy line. It was directed by Josh Cooley from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, the latter two of whom also conceived the film's story.
The film features voices of Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm, It is set on Cybertron, the home planet of the Transformers, and depicts the origins and early relationship of Optimus Prime and Megatron.

As a hardcore Transformers fan, I can definitely say, they finally did it right. This movie was made for the fandom. Elita’s bitchy moments aren’t enough to negatively affect the movie

5:58 WHOA!!! 10:45 I had a very bad feeling judging by the trailers I seen with him as that character that he was going to be just as annoying as was as"Toad" in that recent "Super Mario Bros" CGI film from 2023. I'm betting thanks to his performance as"Bumblebee" in this film we are never going to see that character being able to speak in a movie again. 13:06 Ok bro I'll stop here and come back later after I watch this film.

Glad you enjoyed this as well! I do agree Bumblebee is a issue because not all his humor lands for me but the main point of the story I agree was well done and was worth telling! I rewatched the first 3 Bay movies before watching this and this is better then those to me.

Awesome Job Matt, I Respect your Opinion, I might check out Transformers 1 2024, I'm Not a Huge fan of Animated Films, but I might check it out, Personally I Love The 4 Transformers Films by Michael Bay, Great Action, Well Written & Directed, Likable Characters, Solid Cast, Shia LaBeouf, Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Voight, John Malkovich, Stanley Tucci, Anthony Hopkins, & Stanley Tucci did a Great Job in those Films, Some of the Humor I had Issues with in those Films like I didn't like Ken Jeung in Transformers 3 & John Turrturro in Transformers 2 cuz they were Annoying IMO, But I Still Love those Films though, there Very Underrated IMO, I Love Bumblebee Too that's 1 of my Favorites in the Franchise Too, I Like Transformers 5 & 7 are Ok Time Waster but it's Flawed Film that's why there my Least favorites of the Franchise IMO

Indeed, especially since it was released during the 40th anniversary of the toy line. I would think if Paramount Pictures had done a better job of marketing this movie, a squeal would have been greenlit. As @ramboraph4life said in the video, the trailer selling the movie as more comedic in tone did not help it. Also, I think that this movie really needed a better release slot like during the summer rather than in the fall. As I remember, right around the same time Transformers One came out, a few other animated movies like Moana 2 were also coming out which likely hurt the box office takings as well.

@touchstonefan0348: I agree, especially since 2024 was the 40th anniversary of the launch of the toy line and the entire Transformers world as people know it. Like@ramborpah4life said, the trailer likely did not help in marketing the movie given how different it was in tone with what the finished movie was. On a related note, I hope that at some future date and time I can finally see The Transformers: The Movie (1986) on the big screen since I missed seeing it as a kid and unlike many other older movies that have gotten reissues for their anniversaries no movie theatres close to me have ever screen it.

I was the same way Matt. The trailer threw me off from what could have been a great experience at the theater. After hearing all these good things being said about the film, I eventually decided to give it a shot and I'll say this, I'm not a Transformers fan but I won't lie when I say I'd put this in my favorite films of 2024. The other great thing about this film is you can treat it as standalone. See this as a basically a prequel to any of the Transformers continuties assuming this never gets a sequel. Whoever did that trailer needs to get fired.
