I have a new little head canon. Since I heard D16 mention how Orion tangled himself into a knot once and he had to spend 3 days with prying him open, I didn't hear them talk about getting any punishment. And we all saw how eager Darkwing is to hurt the miners. And they skipped on work FOR 3 DAYS, so they both missed a lot of work. So, my theory is this: After it was reported to the guards that two miners are unable to come to work, they checked on the two missing bots, only to see D16 using a long metal pole (or his own two hands) trying to open up a rather loudly screaming Orion from whatever ball he tied himself into, and, upon seeing this absurdity, while hearing why did Orion end up like that, the guards started to collectively laugh so hard that their T-cogs almost fell out of their bodies, and in their laughing they weren't able to give any punishment to the two little go-bots who made them laugh this hard. And thus, the guards' station building was loud for days or weeks long after the incident from both laughing and recalling the mad incident. This is my head canon now, and nobody can tell me otherwise. 🤣
