I recently found her on eBay, and as expected the foil stickers were a mess. So I committed what many may consider a cardinal sin and just finished peeling them off. And WOW she looks so much better without them! The stickers were hiding a treasure trove of beautiful greebling and the red and white colors are so much more cohesive and clean now. I would happily display her next to Miriya's VF-1J Valkyrie.

I'm not crazy about the alt mode since I've always wanted her car mode more, but overall she looks great. And that head sculpt looks glorious. Yeah, the alt mode is a bit lazy, but at this point, the age of the Thrilling 30 is dead and we'll never get figures like those anymore. It's what I expect from Hasbro these days, so I'm not surprised.

It's fine as a new incarnation of Elita-One much like the Thunderblast repaint repaint was a good Elita-One toy. However as a representation of G1 Elita-One this is terrible. For starters Optimus Prime got a Leader Class where you can have him as Orion Pax so it would of made so much more sense to do Elita-One as a leader class that can also double as Ariel. For another thing, there is a shot of Elita-One in vehicle mode in the cartoon, she's mostly obscured by Optimus in that scene but it's pretty clear they intended her to be a Cybertronian female version of Optimus Prime. As such she really should of been remolded from Optimus or given a new mold entirely that turns into a truck. This is why I said in the beginning that it's fine as a new incarnation of Elita-One. The robot mode much like the Thunderblast mold from Cybertron does look a lot like Elita-One but once you transform them it's clear this isn't the G1 character because that's not the alt mode she had. I also want to give her credit that she does look a hell of a lot better than the previous female combiner torso we got. Victorion was a nice idea but putting a new head on a body intended for a male character just wasn't selling it as a female character. Elita-One on the other hand with all her new parts despite looking like she's on steroids is at least clearly female.

I like it. Yes, it's the same as Silverbolt/Cyclonus/Starscream, but that is par for the course since most of the line is remolds/repaints. G1 was full of repaints/remolds anyway (Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen, the Seekers, Grapple/Inferno, Sideswipe/Red-Alert, etc).

Great review. I have to say there are differences between the Starscream and Elita-1 molds. I have to agree with you about the sticker applications. A total clusterfuck. You can tell that Hasbro has stopped caring about quality control.

I turn her backpack upside down and fold in the wings, that way the backpack and wings are almost invisible from the front view,, makes it look more like the cartoon

In all honesty, they just needed to focus more on getting things to fold away. The torso mode actually isn't too bad, and the gaps in the wings go a long way to making the design tolerable. but it's still too much.

While I agree with a lot of your complaints I feel that this figure is better looking than Starscream. I feel that by just making her feet smaller significantly improved the look of this figure. The big boot feet on Starscream really discouraged me from buying him and I did not however I like the look of Alita and hope I can pick her up on clearance lol

She's pretty easy for a Voyager Class Transformer, and my experience with those is that they're hard. Her motorcycle is a pain in the butt when it comes to transformation.

The price overall will just drop eventually. They should have waited for the new WOC line. And gave them all Cybertronian modes like in the cartoon. That way they would not need the weird baby bags and titan posts. Focus more on the figures how they were rather than serve the gimmicks.

POTP Elita-1 is kinda combo of G1 Elita-1 and TF IDW Elita-1, wrapped on jet transformation. While I can over look Popeye puff arms and feet, it just that Hasbro should stop using folio stickers and get back with tampograhping detail paint. Putting lot of stickers were tampograhping should have easily to go, Hasbro gives message "We are cheapskates, deal with it!".

I've been pretty indifferent to Power of the Primes so far. The new Legends figures are cool, and while I like the look of the two Leaders in box they don't impress enough for me to spend money on them. Screamer looks decent in bot mode, but thanks to reviews I was able to pass pretty easy. Grimlock and the Dinobots....eh, cool I guess. I think the only thing keeping my interested is the promise of FRIGGING TERRORCONS in the near future. But I am SO DONE with FACTORY APPLIED STICKERS.
