The FUTURE Of Fembots! | Legacy Elita 1 [Transformers Review & Analysis]

On this episode of the Gei4Mei show, we look at what could be the cutest Transformer ever and solve yet another Transformers mystery while we're at it!

I'm sorry again. I didn't mean to take so long with this video but I hope it's up to par with my other reviews and that you guys enjoy it.
I tried some more new things, did some more audio mixing than what I usually do. This video was probably my most intensive so far to make.
I did about three cuts of this video, probably trimmed off just over a minute of what I had written originally. 6 to 8 minutes is usually what I try to shoot for for my video length so thats fine.
I'm just trying to do my best so I thank you guys for sticking with me.

What's next? A Bombshell that's actually a bombshell? A Knock-out that's a knock-out? Blaster? I hardly know her. Ok it's all out of my system. The Elita/Minerva mold looks promising. Though I still have a soft spot for PotP Elita. I'm fine being in the minority, but I think the stratofighter was a great outside-the-box choice. (Slim those Popeye arms and it'd be a 10/10) The new hotness looks like some effort went into it. That was my biggest gripe with ER Arcee and Elita. No effort. Not in the figure nor in the soapdish passing for a vehicle. My hope is the other Battle Angels (my name for the fembots) Break from the G1 orbit and embrace new forms we've seen over the past decade. I'd love Moonracer as a space fighter instead of a car. And Lancer as a motorcycle instead of a car and so on. Put Chromia in an Ironhide mold. Or Greenlight as a sedan sister. So many possibilities, I wish Hasbro would take them.

Minerva is easily going to be the best version of this mold, but I still intend on getting it as Elita since the only other two options are the POTP Starscream mold or the Earthrise Arcee mold.

Honestly I prefer this mold as Elita One moreso than as Minerva, unlike most others it seems. I appreciate how this mold adapts Elita's appearance into something more like a proper transformer, while still retaining the parts of her design that make her iconic. Minerva meanwhile, she already had a very nice and functioning toy out of Nightbeat's porsche mode; I don't see why they didn't just make a new Nightbeat and retool her out of him, lawl. Would be more accurate to her design, and we'd get a zased robo-detective out the mold too!

With her head poking out of the top of her vehicle mode, I sometimes wonder if an Override repaint would work for Elita., instead of just having a piece that pegs into the roof to emulate it. Aside from that, and her feet that were very loose out of the box on my copy and don’t like tO POSE VERY WELL...... this figure’s pretty good.

After playing with the Minerva version of the mold for about a week (Elita still being on preorder from Amazon) my conclusion is... it's weird. Objectively, this is a mediorce design that has typical modern articulation or a little below and a backpack that isn't bad but does get in the way at the elbows and shoulders a little, and isn't even super fun to transform like, say, WFCE Sunstreaker... and yet, like Maximum Shellformer Cyberverse Arcee, I absolutely love her. The robot proportions, the cute little altmode, just the total package has found its way to the top tier of my favorite figures, one of the ones that jumps immediately to mind as part of why I love the franchise as a whole. I do actually like the Minerva shoulder fenders for Elita to, though -- her original G1 animation model had little smoke stacks like OP, and the new pods (and for that matter the hood backpack compared to his truck cab) make her look like the G2 OP in a similar way.

I do legit have an issue with her being short, because...it feels like since she's not a formerly male character (some could argue they're trans) like Override or Tyrannocon Rex or a huge hulkster like Strika, fembots cannot be more than normal Deluxe, even if they've never been that small. G1, Netflix, and Earthspark Elitas go up to Optimus own boobies, so, Siege Ironhide is still the ideal height for her at smallest. Hence why she'll act as my Ariel for now, while I find...or build, a more properly sized Elita. Height grievances aside, she's without a shadow of a doubt adorable AF and properly designed. If nothing else, she really is the template for fembots going forward. Now that we've gotten SS86 Arcee, the most G1 accurate Arcee they could possibly make, out of their system, can we just abandon her design behind and use Elita/Minerva as the template for all fembot toys?

@@Gei4Mei The Women aren't treated the same way as the men. They are all separate characters. and the Men get there on separate vehicle as an alt-mode even if they are heavily retooled from the same platform. The Women are represented by one with different coloring.

In my opinion, I would prefer Elita 1 from War for Cybertron Trilogy (Not a simp). Elita 1 from Legacy had a huge backpack like she's from a military and I'm not wrong. She's perfect the way she is but Elita 1 (WOF) Is better.

@@Gei4Mei I guess it’s just on my figure. It’s one of those cursed ones with pegs that never fit in their peg holes because they were molded wrong.
