The show doesn't hold up, and neither does the film on the same channel-it just doesn’t resonate with me. Wasn’t Galvatron originally Megatron who was sleeping at the bottom of the sea & was ressurected by Unicron in the official TFP movie? My memory is foggy so forgive me if I made a mistake

In G1 Megatron came back as Galvatron after dying, and in age of extinction he pulled a mechagodzilla, but in Prime he stays as Megatron all the way to the end, i heard Galvatron has been a separate character in other works.

The ONLY thing I genuinely liked in this abomination of a film wass the character designs for the new characters. That's it. The way they were characterized was garbage though. On paper, the idea of Galvatron, Scourge, Cyclonus and Slipstream being heralds of Unicron sounds amazing. But it was executed horribly. Bringing back Optimus was a horrible decision and basically makes his sacrifice in Predacons Rising meaningless. Megatron coming back wouldve been fine if they hadn't butchered his character and had him take control of the Decepticons again and lead the Combaticons. What should've happened was instead of bringing Prime back, Ratchet should've contacted Megatron and he decides to come and help the Bots. Though the first he does when he arrives ir order the Combaticons to cease fire and help take down the Destructicons. When they retreat, the Combaticons try and attack the Autobots and Megatron orders them to stand down, that the Decepticons are no more. That they are allies against Unicrons heralds. That the war against the Autobots is over. Man they butchered this movie.

@@davidstone281 I agree with all of this sentiment. I also think that they should have made the combaticons remain without Megatron or Megatron appear in the sequel. The Combaticons have lots of potential to be side villains who could end up as main villains, because I personally believe deep down that the true conflict is between Onslaught (Who I call Brutus jokingly) and Ultra Magnus (who is pushed to the wayside very quickly).

Glad theres a video of someone pointing out some of the issues with this "movie". I learned about this when I was little bc I also grew up on Transformers Prime and was so excited. Turns out the voice of Optimus Prime (A litteral embodiment of equal rights) is a racist and homophobic guy. And the creator of this dumpster pile of a "sequel" defended him instead of geting someone new for the role. So that got my hopes down, but I still wanted to see how the animation team did. But yeah this was ass for so many reasons. I actually thought that they had no budget and did this for free but apparently they were given like 8k-13k. And that combined with the fact they had 10 actual years to work on this...its just disappointing. The ammount of clipping between the models, the lazy png clip ins, honestly roblox looking graphics, bad editing, and piss poor voice acting made this unbearable to watch. There was no character growth at all. I hate the fact they changed Knock Out's eyes to blue to "show hes a good guy now" because if red = evil then why tf does Breakdown and other characters that the team designed THEMSELVES have yellow eyes? Not to mention Galvatron is supposed to be more evil than Megatron in this, so why arent his eyes red? And I feel like the choice to have Ultra Magnus replace his hand instead of embracing it sends a bad message to the audience that people with physical disabilities need to be "fixed" or "returned to how their better form". Reviving Optimus takes away the meaning of his sacrifice at the end of Transformers Prime (and the same reason I dislike Robots in Disguise 2015, which was Hasbros official sequel to the series). The blatant sexism and misogyny in this disgusts me. The writers saw a perfectly capable female presenting character (i say female presenting bc technically cybertronians have no biological sex and choose their own identies) and decided that she was going to be a liability in any fight shes in, and to need the aid of the other male presenting characters around her to be able to do anything. Not to mention the lazy writing of having those same characters constantly do it so that she likes them or bc they dont want the other guy to get her first or whatever. Also Rodimus and the other charcaters are all characters from other Transformers media (the original 1984 show, Transformers More Than Meets the Eye/Lost Light comics (as well as the rest of IDW's Transformers comics), Transformers Animated, etc.) And it pains me to see their characters warped in such a gross way. Overall, this movie should be a hell of a lot better for the time and budget they had and the number of people that worked on it.

The only time in TFP that it did is when they consumed dangerous substances (Dark Engergon and Synth-En (Which @/Emperor Kumquat did a very good job of explaining on his channel)) If the Creator's are trying to say that red = evil, then they should of had Galvitron's (and the other Destructicons') eyes be red. Or have purple be the color of evil instead since that color represents Dark Energon and Unicron.

First and foremost this whole script could’ve done with a rewrite, trimming all the fat and repetitive dialogue. Secondly, while I have little problem with the “Dark Primes” the other new characters and Knockout are just written a little uncannily, knockout specifically feels… wrong.. ALSO why is everyone sexually attracted to Arcee, they’re giant robots with no reproductive organs nor concept of gender except that some bots are fem coded. It also is… wierd and kinda sexist in like a weird old fashion kind of way. WEIRD! Stop talking about her curves!! Thirdly: there are plenty of better prime VA’s out there and this project got saddled with one of whom I couldn’t stand to even listen to. This is beyond bad… also the animation is barely finished and very stiff, but that stuff can always be revisited.
