I just noticed, Elita is the only main bot in TF ONE who doesnt have any built-in weapons. She just Karate'd her way thru the movie and just stole a riffle from an enemy when she needed firepower.

Seeing how the weapons manifested from the bots' desire for combative tools per their situation, personalities & build, i'd say Elita One's lack of guns came from her deliberate intention of NOT wanting guns & only willing to compromise by using someone else's if the situation absolutely called for it. She'd shown herself to be a very hands-on person & very willing to get physical during conflicts after all. That went in complete contrast to D-16, who materialized bigger & meaner guns due to his desire for greater firepower, capacity for destruction, & just outright bloodlust for domination.

I recently rewatched her G1 episode and it still impresses me how it was written. Outside of the relationship connections with Prime's team, the whole episode could have had them as any other cybertronian group. The female Autobots were not helpless damsels to be rescued, nor were the male Autobots suddenly bumbling morons to make Elita's team look better. That is the kind of well balanced writing you don't see anymore. Plus, Starscream's taunt of "How cute. The girls have come to rescue their boyfriends!" Still makes me laugh.

Because of that, she became more villainous almost massacring humans when she used Sari's all spark key to cure herself and tricking Wasp into becoming a Predacon and in the 4th season, she was planned to be the main villain creating even more Predacons. It would be jarring that this incarnation of Elita would be villain especially after the past decade of her depictions.

⁠​⁠@@toledochristianmatthew9919 Eh, given Blackarachnia is introduced and characterized before and far more than her time as Elita-1 (and TFA’s Elita-1 isn’t very similar to the original beyond the basic “close associate of Optimus before he came to Earth” detail), I don’t think it matters much either way. She’s an incarnation of Blackarachnia first and foremost, with the Elita-1 aspect just being part of her backstory and effectively a homage to moreso than an adaptation of the original character. Transformers is no stranger to reusing names for characters who bear only tangential resemblance to their original incarnations, and TFA’s Elita isn’t much different. Then again, considering how rigid Hasbro is with character names and personalities now (and the vocal displeasure TF fans at any given time have shown towards deviating too far from past incarnations), I’m very likely to be wrong.

Ariel and Elita-1 were conceived by two different Screenwriters. Elita-1 was conceived by Beth Bornstein, and Ariel was conceived by David Wise. Sunbow Productions linked the two characters together.

The way they did transformers one really showed a lot of love and care on the legacy that these transforming robots. Plus hearing Chris Hemsworth voice a young Optimus prime a.k.a. Orion pax and Scarlett Johansson doing the voice of his love interest elita one is just icing on the cake hearing the two voices of the avengers in this animated movie. Plus I love the rivalry between Elita one and Airachnid, which in my opinion was a call back to the transformers prime episodes that had Arcee dealing with that she spider

I'm honestly so happy Elita took back her spotlight as the figure head for the female transformers, i love arcee and windblade, but it was always sad to see Elita get sidelined so often, especially since she's Optimus's lover no less. One thing that I like which is consistent between Elitas, is that she is the other half of Optimus While he is the stoic kind leader, she is a more proactive and aggressive bot, and when both meet they can keep each other safe and in check

As a Transformers fan since G1 and the 90’s era, this movie makes me really happy to see Elita One get more focused and action. Scarlet Johansson fits perfectly for the character like she did with Black widow. I hope our favorite female Autobot lives longer in surviving the upcoming Autobot-Decepticon Civil War in future sequels. The only animated show where Elita one I know alive with Optimus Prime is in Earthspark. None of us want Orion/Optimus to suffered like he is in Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy Netflix series.

Glad to see Elita FINALLY getting her shine. Of course, we know now that Arcee was created by Sunbow first, as they were working on the Movie around the time Season 1 was originally airing, but most of us were introduced to Elita and her band of female Autobots first through Season 2. As far as we knew back then, Elita was the first female Autobot lead character. It's kinda foul how quite a bit of her appearances in various media had her as far removed from her characterization in her first appearance as possible, even having her a cold and merciless or downright villainous. I'm glad recent appearances have her portrayed more heroic like she was in her Season 2 debut.

Conceptually speaking Arcee was the first female Transformer to had been designed, but Elita-1 was the first female Transformer to make the debut of female Transformers. As such, I was really disappointed that Elita-1 had only one appearance in G1 and then Arcee was the only one who was always shown. Elita-1 and her crew really deserved to have been shown more... And I fear that her and her crew either met their end by Shockwave off camera, or by Unicron's attack on the 80s movie that also ended Shockwave.

I think Skybound is definitely my favorite version of Elita-1. I love how she became bitter over Optimus and the other Autobots who escaped to Earth, and how she'll do anything to make the war end and find meaning for all of the death that she'd seen across the millions of years she'd been fighting, even if it means using Shockwave's methods, and losing what makes her an Autobot.

I'm very happy that Elita-One became so prominent in recent years, cause this character should have been more inportant than it really was. While she was invision as one time character, her being first (debuted) female transformer and have ties to Optimus Prime, alone gives her some much stand out, even more than Arcee. Idk, who at Hasbro suddenly decided Elita should be more prominent, but I want to thank that guy. The only thing that I wouldnt' say is a issue, but an observation, that Elita became more prominent, around the same time Windblade apperances became less frequent.

I know you briefly mention the POTP figure, which can act as the torso of a combiner, but there’s an interesting bit about the lore of that figure (if you don’t mind me addenduming your already great video). As of now, the Power of the Primes figure is Elita-1’s only Voyager Class figure, and this is for good reason. This figure has 2 different combined modes: “Elita-Infin1te”, who can be formed from any bots as her limbs, and “Orthia”, who is composed entirely of specific female autobots. Orthia is also canonically called “The Shield of Solus”, created by Solus Prime herself to carry on her legacy, and create powerful artifacts in her absence. If you needed further connection that POTP Elita-1 has latent Prime abilities, it seems that this was Hasbro’s hopes as well. There was a “Who’s Your Prime” vote for the POTP line, with Arcee being one of the choices. We obviously never saw Arcee as a Prime, but they definitely were open to the possibility of Arcee becoming a prime. And who would come out in the second wave of POTP? Elita-1, with a combined mode wielding the literal Power of (A) Prime. If Arcee HAD won the vote though, Design Manager John Warner stated that Arcee’s Prime name would have been “Arcana Magnus”… and isn’t that interesting? That they had a name picked already? And Arcana from arcane, Magnus both like Ultra Magnus, but also the Magnus Hammer. Arcane Hammer sounds to me like a reference to Solus Prime! Perhaps Orthia and Arcana Magnus aren’t too different

I wish that in TFOne, cogless Elita was called Ariel (or Eriel, or whatever she's called now), maybe even spelled RE-1 or R3-L (can be pronounced Ariel). Anyway, when she got a cog she could have changed her name to Elita-1. Missed opportunity to honor her origins and give another toy to be sold.

I remember playing Elita-1 on the playground when Gen-1 was still airing. It seems a little weird that, as a boy (and a cis, straight boy at that), she was often my go-to character, but the one-shot character on par with Optimus was just too mesmerizing. I don't think I've enjoyed any depiction of her since until Earthspark. Easily one of my favorite characters, even back during the pre-2000s.

Maybe Elita was originally named Ariel before she decided to change it to Elita One. Besides I think the reason why they used the name Elita in the movie so they would risk getting sued by Disney for copyright issues

@@andreaparedes1987 I can definitely see Disney doing but trademarks and copyrights have limitations. If you can prove the "intended use" doesn't interfere with the trademark/copyright owner's use, you're good. BUT big companies draw things out so it's not worth fighting it out. Monster Energy vs Ubisoft (Gods and Monsters) and Disney vs Blizzard (Zurg) are two that come to mind.

I kind of like how elita-1 is now being betrayed as Optimus Second in command because now we have a consistent first lieutenant that the auto bots always have rather than it just depending on which ever series you’re watching because the Decepticons have a first lieutenant we know him we love him it’s been consistent for the past few years but now the auto bots have their own first lieutenant.

While it's great to see another long obscure character get some spotlight, I do wish more versions of her would use her origin as an ordinary bot that was rebuilt into a war machine just like Optimus. Most versions tend to either briefly mention her pre-war days, or say she had always been Elita-One. Which is a shame because there's some really good story potential to explore both Optimus and Elita's transformations both physically and mentally.
