As a businessman who has to deal with Thai companies, the language barrier can be so difficult sometimes. It can ruin trust between both parties. I hope in the future more devices like this will become common. We need devices like this, especially in the business world.

Also use Google translate keyboard, makes writing to friends easy. Look for the translate icon on the top bar of the android keyboard. you might need to add the icon from the icon set in settings.

What I want to know is how it handles Thai slang. Thais use a lot of slang, which is why google translate for example really struggles to translate it into something that makes sense.

Such a hassle to have to speak through a machine for daily communication, even with your partner. Communication is not just about simple words, pidgin English. What kind of mental stimulation do you get if you need to speak at that level with your girlfriend or wife?
