Soil just looks way to hard all he would need to do is put some top soil on it and mix it in with that old dusty dirt and give it some good water and boom easy most seeds need really soft dirt to be able to pop up through otherwise they wont be able to penetrate the top and over water only makes the seeds tumble and fall deeper!

You guys made my day, too. In all this turmoil, your family represents the best of our culture: success comes from hard work, personal responsibility, accountability for your own actions. In this country you can make a difference for yourself with hard work, not a hand out. You cannot demand respect, one earns it. Your family has earned my respect. But for those in our society who are disabled, sick, elderly or vulnerable, we have the ability to care for them because capitalism works, too. The taxes are used to promote the programs to care for them. If you want to make a difference, pick yourself up, find a useful skill, and contribute. Why do people in the millions want to come to the U.S.? Because our system works, and there is no other country like it on earth. Thank you, Cornstar Farms! It was so refreshing to watch honest, wholesome content here today.

DC, your dad would be so happy how you all are carrying on. Cole, the drone footage is sooooo very wonderful. It gives perspective to all the work. Cole & Nave, field growing and garden growing is different. The wind you have will dry your garden dirt very quickly. Your dirt has little organic matter to hold moisture and loosen the soul for garden growth. Raised beds or tilling in soil amendment materials would help. You're growing delicate plants in concrete dirt. Consider even stepping back. Do a few things in large containers. A couple tomatoes, peppers and cilantro. Spend time and effort into preparing the garden area for the next growing season. Consider preparing the area and adding a long greenhouse that gives you a longer growing season. Just like so many other projects you've been tackling, often there are levels of needs to get to the final goal. On a related subject...the wonderful work cleaning the house basement shows you have a great place to establish an indoor food cellar/pantry. Look around YT for info on this subject. I'm certain that was done there before. Once you are running an awesome home garden, you can add putting up your own food. Step at a time. Prep the garden better.

Let's let this jesus HIMSELF tell you EXACTLY who he is. Revelation 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” This jesus HIMSELF says he's "SON OF DAVID", NOT YaH and Mary (Joseph) and he's the "MORNING STAR", that's LUCIFER - Isaiah 14 This "jesus" of Nazareth, the NAZARENE, NOT Bethlehem, was NOT The Messiah, he is NOT Who they Crucified for the sins of man. Here is the REAL Messiah, Who they REALLY Crucified for the sins of man Yad He Vav He is what Moses wrote (Dead Sea Scrolls Exodus 3), not "I Am" OR "God" Yad = Hand He = Breath Vav = Nail He = Breath Yad He, which forms The Creators Name YaH, (Hand Breath), as YaH's Hand Forms/Creates and His Breath brings forth life (Adam) Vav He (Nail Breath), YaH's Sacrifice of Crucifixion, for those who call YaH Savior, His Breath brings forth life (Salvation) YaH arrives via the Tent of Meeting (Exodus 33:7:11), the exact same way YaH arrived to Joseph (Mary) NOT through childbirth. YaH was NOT Crucified on a "cross", but according to Hebrew law (Deuteronomy 21), to be nailed on an Almond Tree for blasphemy as the Messiah claimed He was YaH. He was YaH, NOT this "jesus" HalleluYaH means "Praise YaH", that's what HalleluYaH means, NOT Hallelujesus people. When you pray, pray to YaH, call out His Infallible, Holy and Sacred Name. YaH, there's your Savior

Next year for your vegetable / herb garden there's two main things you really should do: 1) Get a composting bin going, easy to build with some scrap wood or you can even get rotating compost bins. The sooner you get this started the more you'll have for the garden next year. 2) Build some raised beds, put a liner down and then have some good soil brought it. Then mix in your compost when you go to plant. Optional 3) rig up a cheap and easy drip irrigation system for it. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, an old barrel, some old hose if you want to go the recycled route or there's simple kits you can get.

Hey Daddy Cornstar- It kind of hit home when you spoke of your father. My dad is one of my very best friends and I almost lost him due to heart disease last year... The good people in a Albany, NY fixed him up quickly and very well. I am only 31 and I would like to have a long time with him as you did with yours. It makes you think every day how thankful you are for what you have. Your spirit is inspiring. Keep being an awesome dad!

WOW the drone photos were fantastic. As George Jefferson did, Moving On Up. Grandma and Grandpa Cornstar, who did not know they would have the last name Cornstar, are looking down and so proud of what they have produced.

DC is does get easier losing a loved parent my Darling Mother passed away 3 years ago, I’m comforted by the fact that she is in heaven, as I’m sure is where also is your Dad ☁️. DC bribery and corruption are some of the best methods in handling 👶🤣 Absolutely brilliant aerial shots Cole so much to positively comment on this video keep up the good work. Mulch in the garden and compost in the soil helps both moisture and nutrients.

Love the drone shots Cole. You've gone really high tech. The yard is really shaping up. Your garden definitely needs water. Plan on watering any grass seed that you plant. You need a broadcast sprinkler to connect to your garden hose for both the garden and your lawn.

I don't know how expensive it is, but could you send in a soil sample from you garden to the extension service and have them check for contaniments. They could also tell you what to do to correct it for next year.

God Bless you Daddy Cornstar! Dad and I had several brief close moment. I wish I reached out to DAD more. But here the thing, When he got older I made it a point to tell him every time I saw him that I loved him. And I would give him a little hug prob not often enough. Not sorry about anything and so so happy he knew I loved him no matter what.

Regarding the garden, with all the junk that used to be there the soil may be contaminated. If there's a near-ish university with an ag extension, they probably do a soil analysis for a pretty reasonable cost. At TAMU, it's between $12 and $81 depending on how detailed you want it, and needs a pint of soil.

Back in the day at Clemson it used to be $2! Thirty years ago I worked at the soil testing lab, mainly nematode identification, but also lent a hand in soil testing and feed/forage testing. The mechanization today is mind boggling.

I lost my dad a little over 3 years ago. What I've learned is the best way to keep their memory alive is to live the way they would want us to. It's their legacy. In the end, all the material things in this world will burn up. But, our children are our legacies. I have a feeling the whole Cornstar family is a tribute to some good and deep roots.

Every time I watch your videos I miss my grandma and grandpa a little more if that’s even possible. Grandpa died of some vicious cancer and sold the farm before he passed because it was all woman and he didn’t want to burden my grandma with the farm and I know my entire family misses that farm. I could hear your dad fighting back his emotions when he was talking about his dad :( bless him and a great big virtual hug all the way from Indiana!
