Cole The Cornstar, aka Cole, is a 4th generation family farmer from Central Iowa who is the life force behind his family’s 1,700 acre farm. Cole promotes agriculture by filming his day-to-day adventures with his Dad (Daddy Cornstar) and brother (Cooper) on the farm. With a lot of help from Daddy Cornstar, Cole instills humor and education into his videos fit for both young adults and adults. Despite being 22-years old, Cole has an old-fashion work ethic with an innovative approach toward agricultural technology and practices. Cole's mission is to prove the American Dream is not dead and be a megaphone for agricultural education and innovation, from technological advances in farming equipment to conservation practices.

Daddy Cornstar, you Sir are a gentleman of the highest order. The reverence and dignity with which you do the grave digging is remarkable. I can only imagine it is a great comfort to those in that area to know that someone which such respect and decency is preparing the final resting place for their loved ones.

My wife and I laid her mother to rest this afternoon. While I was sitting there at the graveside listening to our minister speak , I couldnt help but think about your family and the job you and the boys and Nava do digging the graves. The service couldn’t have gone any better. All the people at the funeral home went above and beyond to make absolutely certain all of our family’s needs and wishes were attended too. After the service I made it a point to go over and personally thank the two gentlemen that did all the work to make Kate’s grave side beautiful . Take care and god bless . I’m a forever fan .

Me and my brother just took over the farm after dad passed away two years ago. It is bittersweet to go through some of the stuff he acquired. Some of it junk, some of it gold. We still use his old tractors and everytime I start one I see him in my mind. A new tractor was acquired this year and it sure is nice to ride with air conditioning and a radio while cutting hay, but I still like to fire up the old no cab Case 1294 and think of how many years he spent working with it. Hardest working man I ever knew even at 72 until a fast cancer took him and he went to his eternal home. I sure do miss him. He carried a little pair of vise-grips with him in a sheath on his belt always. I was always impressed how he kept up with them....but after he passed we found so many pairs of them holding a nut here, a cable there, laying on an implement over there...lol...he must have went through dozens of them!
@scoobysnacks
@scoobysnacks 4 жыл бұрын
Isn't it funny how the little things like finding vice grips all over the place will bring back such fond memories and lead to the best stories? It's odd that sometimes I'll try to think of my grandparents who I lost a very long time ago, and their memories seem distant and fuzzy, but then other times when 'm not expecting it I'll see something or be in a situation that triggers crystal clear memories that I didn't even know were still there. And it seems like it was just yesterday that you're remembering. It's a shame that we inevitably lose our loved ones, but such a blessing that God gave us the ability to always keep them with us, even when we don't realize they are there.

The hard work that you folks do is incredible to watch. If I must say, I at one time would've been the Neva in that time of life. So many wonderful things I learned from those folks and Daddy Cornstar definitely reminds me of that special time in my life. It is amazing to see how you maintain your equipment, restoring the farmhouse, reuse and recycle things you find in your surroundings. Thank you for sharing meal time prayers of thanksgiving as well. My own father and his father before him were sextons for their church cemetery and I remember as a child they dug the graves by hand! Prayers for a bountiful harvest on that beautiful piece of land you have🙏

I really like how you take such great care of the graves that you dig and the the previous ones as well. My grandmother passed away back in January and they did a horrible job. I know that the ground is frozen, but there was a foot and a bit hole at the head of the grave and another two holes at least a foot deep. They piled the dirt in the middle of the grave so there was a large hump in the middle. We went out and fixed the dirt so it was level and put seed down.

Yes it is interesting to learn about grave digging. It's a subject we probably never discuss yet it effects us all at one time or another.

Old tractors, what a way to grow up. Spent my younger years on a Farm all M & Super C on 250 acres. Love to reminisce on old farming videos. The hay allergies did me in. You all just keep on doing what you are doing. 👍👍

Did not think I would make it, viewed all the back video's and I really enjoyed them so much. I am a non farming but have always been interested in farming. I am 76 years young and a Southern Baptist Pastor retired from Church life for now, but still busy loving the Lord and telling others about Him and why they should have a relationship with Him how and forever. So enjoy the fact that you and the family Love the Lord Our God also. Keep up doing what you do and God's Blessings for the whole family....

Did you know she has her own channel called Nave? She doesn’t upload very often but I love her singing and guitar playing. She has a beautiful voice. Summer has a channel called Sum Good Stuff. She’s been planting her raised bed garden recently. She’s a lovely girl, too. 💖

Such a somber song playing in the background...must be pulling for tears! Lol Enjoy watching, reminds me of my time farming with my Grandpa in Southern IL when I was in HS and watching him jumping up and down on his tractor as I disced and wasn't doing it to his specs! Ha He just passed recently and the clean out of random junk reminds me of those days and that crazy work ethic. We used to drive into town for dinner and he'd always drive past the local teen hangout and yell, "it's bedtime" as I hid down in the seat as they yelled back crazy Louie ❤️

Wow, you had guest stars today. I am glad that you found a new home for a couple of the old tractors. I hope that he will be able to restore them or at least get them running again. It is so nice to see more scrap gone. You should take a overhead picture so that you can do a before and after look. It looks like I could have had a full time job scrapping for you. I am glad that you are willing to share your life with the world.

Always love your videos, and I love watching the junk being removed. I really have a hard time grasping the enormity of it all. Yup, Daddy Cornstarch has found another talent of his behind the camera. You all work really hard to make things look nice. It’s a wonderful service for the communities around you to take such good care of their cemeteries.

We all have "embarrassing messes" things we didn't mean to put off. You are an inspiration to everyone that all you have to do is don't get mad, forgive yourself and dig in until the job is done. I've made some expensive mistakes around my farm, bought things I thought were going to solve problems and held onto them too long after hoping to find another use. But now that it's all gone so is the mountain of regrets.
