My great uncle was plowing a field way back in the day. He heard some metal on metal sound and plowed up a super rusty Craftsman wrench. So he took it up to Sears and traded it in for a brand new one.

His family didn't build this farm, they were not the first owners. His great grandparents lived in the neighboring farm just across the road. You can see it in the background several times in this video at 1:53, 4:12, 6:22, and 8:27. Then this farm (Cole's) came up for sale and his great grandparents decided to buy it. Cole's granddad lived in it until he passed away 2 years ago. Cole told this in a previous video.

Daddy Cornstar and Cole. I just wanted to reach out and say thanks for the channel. I came across this channel by accident, and now watch daily. I am 42 years old from Western Iowa, and my Dad passed away on April 15th last year in 2019. He kept much of running the farm to himself with no records to pull from. He was what we call a "hobby" farmer. The farm has been in the family since 1892, and now running the daily responsibilities of the farm rest on my mom and myself. I love farming and eager to continue the farm legacy. Your videos have helped me out in more ways that you can understand. You are an amazing family to watch and learn from.

Here's a thought, when the dozer gets done you should run a big tractor and heavy disc several passes to level your yard more then drag it and rock hound it with a skidder this will create the perfectly level base to seed to grass and cover with straw then just water the straw as that promotes growth to seeds. Perfect lawn.

One thing you can do for watering your garden if you have the time. If you set up a rain barrel connected to the troughs from your house, you can put a timed pump on it. Take some PEX/flexible plastic plumbing hose and run it out to your garden. reduce the sizing down to about 1/4" hose and run that along your rows of vegetable. Put pin holes all along the length of the 1/4" and then you can water your plants pretty reliably. (provided your rain barrel stays moderately full) (tip get big rain barrel)

Cooper, I have a suggestion for the mixmate trailer, add a curved piece to where the hose comes out, like cutting a 45° elbow in half, toss the top half and use the bottom piece to carry the stress from the curving hose. And add some heavy duty rubber straps to hold up hose on the trailer side.
