I think 45 is too deep just because I don't think you would be able to reach them fishing. if you are stuck on 45 maybe think about potting walleye which are fin to catch and great to eat along with crappie for ice fishing

most contractors will build you a deep pond only to line his pockets more than your already going to now if the lay of your land tells you your pond needs to be deep then ok but pretty rare

It's on a 160 ac track. If he was clear cutting it, that could work, but he would have to pay out of pocket to have a logging crew come out there for that little bit of timber. In my area, a crew won't come for anything under 100 acres( CC) right now. Also, the vast majority of these trees are no good for lumber anyway.
