After a bunch of different layouts and tinkering, we've gotten our audio recording set up dialed in and ready to go to begin the recording process for our new series of guided visualizations! Shipping containers present their own set of particular challenges for building and living, and a unique one for us is sound recording quality! Lots of sharp edges, small rooms, tons of wood, and an inverter we can't turn off because we need the electricity to power the recording set up ; ) In the end, the primary problem seems to have been the zoom h4n which was introducing a ton of noise into the audio, and we switched to the Shure SM7db, with the additional MVX2U so that we can run the xlr directly into USB c and into my laptop, and this seems to have done the trick! I'm hoping to install some audio panels in the future as well, but for now this has been working incredibly well, especially given how powerful noise reduction and enhance speech has become in the editing programs! That's great that you're making these visualizations to combat stress. I find that somatic exercises and physical exertion seem to work better for me. Visualizations have never worked for me, maybe they work for others though. I love watching you work with Freya! so cool.

Lou: It's great that you try and get the best work out, especially the audio. Tests have been done with people viewing motion pictures. They will put up with poor visuals among other things, but will bail if the audio is sub-standard. Photo arts used to be a mystery, but with You Tube and other online content, with everyone and their pig putting out junk content, these arts have gone to the dogs. Keep up the good work.

If you want your bread to rise even more, I suggest to prehead the dutch oven and to put ice cubes or spray water into the dutch oven before you close the lid. The steam also creates a nice oven spring. Have a lovely summer!
