Brenna - I subscribed to your channel last year. You have single-handedly helped me to make my decision to go out there and join the rest of the travelling Aussies. Although I never joined your patreon and I wasn't consistent in watching all of your videos - you are an inspiration. I'm so glad you've gotten to 10k subscription. Congratulations!

Bits and Bobs!! I love it. I have cleaned the bits and bobs (with soap and water) most of my life, because of sensitive skin, I only shower every three days (unless I've been gardening then I throw in an extra shower!!😅).
@TravelsWithSadieАй бұрын
Unless you are in a very humid area (due to mildew) a wet washcloth with a bit of soap works well and doesn’t impact the environment much. The environmental impacts of wet wipes are probably not much different from the impact of frequent showers, due to water usage and soap/shampoo going into sewer or septic systems.
@shirleyperry8593Ай бұрын
@lindagrace2 so do I, lol. I was bought up in the bath once a week era. Changed when I grew up. So soap and water in a bucket is my go-to when camping. Unless to cold, then the baby wipes come into use. As I've gotten older, the wipes are an every night on the twinkle bits. To be sure, to be sure.

Most important: You do you. I see so many KZbin creators who burn themselves out (or lose marriages to the YT life!) because they think they have to produce volume - each video better than the last, of course! I guess there are followers who need that, but I have a feeling they'll jump aboard the next bandwagon and leave their current favorites in the dust if the creators need a break or a change. I believe your followers like and respect you for the authenticity of your content, whatever direction it takes. I look forward to more.

Just found your channel and I admire how you are looking at transitions with a clearer view of your direction! Great point about reviewing whether you are really “living in the moment” as you wish to. We fall into habits without realizing possibly changing some of them! Well done Brenna for embracing change and making space for new adventures! You will remain an inspiration to us and I look forward to seeing your next videos. I agree with keeping expenditure down, cheap and cheerful is best. Some of the good vans are a great responsibility for their owners. I have a tiny Tarago camper and my daughter has a commuter with two beds so that I can do longer trips with her, as I am 75. I think my heart will break if I can’t get out into the beautiful countryside. Vanning is my happy place! Thankyou and best wishes on your journey xx

Hi Brenna love your channel . Just for future reference, if you do decide to go back to Tasmania .The Spirit of Tasmania now allows you to have your dog in your cabin. I believe they may have up to 12 cabins for this purpose now . This would make the journey for a pet so less stressful.

Great hearing about the Hi-Ace, they’re the Corollas of vans. Dear sweet Abby … I know with my OA, that it is difficult to stay in one position for long periods, and then difficult to change position. Love the wildflowers, hope you have a cool spot to be in summer. Yes we are a very big state, but since Alcoa’s cutting down the forests since 1970, WA is an increasingly warmer one. Stay well, love to Abby 🐾

Great plans! It’s going to be fun to see you more often. I’m a big fan of your videos, mostly because of your sincere, no shit, generous and joyful personality. I’m from Canada too and heading south Australia soon. Everything you’ve shared helped me with my planing. I will rent a Hiace delivery van for a month, and just bring some few camping equipment to make myself a little nest on wheels to explore and enjoy nature and solitude. I will take with me water colours to paint plants unknown to me and learn them names. Here in Quebec my Minivan is my refuge , it takes me to beautiful journeys in the wild. Again thank you for sharing. 🌺

You look very relaxed and happy. Now you are really 'living' in your van and not just travelling like a nomad in your van. Maybe a new series of videos of how you 'live' your days - more art, recipes, maintenance, home decor, etc. etc. - that could be an intrusion in your life however. Whatever you do and however you live, I wish you and Abby the very best health and happiness.

Brenna I'm so glad you are in a great place and coming back with more videos. I just love the person you are and your thoughts. Sorry Abby is slowing down but I love the ways you put her first I would do the same for my dog. I'm glad you blocked the nasty comments how does what you do effect them? When I was young in a family of eight, Saturday night was bath night. The cleanest one had the first bath and so on. If you have a good wash it does the same job. Take care stay safe glad your back.

Hi Brenna! I don't know if you've made a video or answered a question about this already, but it would be great to have your take on how different it is being a dog lover versus being a cat one while living in a van. I mean: Are dogs easier to deal? Is a dog a protective item, besides being a family member? Living without them while on the road is (dis)advantageous overall? etc. Just an idea for a future video on this subject. 🐕

Totally get less travelling, more living. I've only been doing this for about three years, but much happier with the living part. Actually find travel (which I also enjoy) detracts from time for living.
