Well done ! I always cut back the ivy hedge in April. I cut it off quite severe ...but already in may I have fresh growth ... I spontaneously think you could plant honeysuckle to this hedge ... Nice flowers , red berries for the birds to feed If you cut back the hedge ...the Honeysuckle becomes more bushy . I have planted honeysuckle to an older hedge of ligustrum with ivey ...the end result was fantastic. I highly recommend . Kind regards from Belgium .

I really look forward to seeing your garden grow and I especially appreciate that you don't try to be a "how to" channel. I just want to see peoples gardens and that's what you do, love it. Very satisfying to cut back hedges that have gone wild. One of my favourite jobs, especially when in the mood to do it. Its good way to blowing off a bit of steam during lock down. The results can be seen immediately as well as a sense of achievement Ivy is the killing the trees in our garden. So I'm keen to remove it from around the bark ,strip back as much as I can and let the rest wither in time. A lot of the green foliage can be composted. Next job is the corner of shame put to use. Keep up the good work..
