World Cycling Body increased from 12months to 24mnths the transition time period to show consistent testosterone decrease & the maximum permitted plasma testosterone level has been lowered from 5 nmol/L to 2.5 nmol/L (maximum testosterone level found in 99.99 percent of the female population).

That's one easy way of phrasing it. In this case, it may be the real reason. Regardless of what anyone says or argues about, ...a trans is male ...as born ....a male. It is only his hereditary gene makeup that determines his PHYSICAL end makeup ...how tall, how fat, etc., etc. You can throw all the hormone treatment you want at someone, particularly after puberty, and he will have already started his physical growth far more accelerated than any female. The guy might want to be female all he wants. HIS attitude is not going to change. There are other athletes like her such as Mbomba who naturally have high testosterone. They are different from athletes like Lia Thomas who transitioned after puberty through drugs and surgery.

Testes (whether internal or external) is the reason why biological men also have naturally high testosterone and gives both intersex individuals and biological males an advantage over biological women.

I do not believe trans athletes who have transitioned should be allowed to compete with cisgender women. However, female athletes with naturally high levels of testosterone deserve more consideration. More science based data should be collected to determine if there is an unfair advantage. Is it ethical or safe to force them to take drugs which may have harmful side effects? There are some athletes who have said the drugs made them feel awful. I enjoyed watching Castor run. She was unaware of her condition during most of her career and the way she was publicly humiliated was shameful.

In addition to his body, his voice is male. Caster Semenya is male, period. He should not be able to compete against women. Hormone suppression is not enough, the committee did not go far enough. If an athlete has XY genetics, and went through puberty as a male, it's too late, there's a permanent advantage. Allowing intersex athletes like Caster Semenya, who is obviously way more male than female, to compete with six month's suppression of hormones, is still not right or fair. He should not be able to compete in women's spirts, at all.

I am glad this ruling has finally been taken however when referring to Caster Semenya, it is not her fault she was BORN with naturally high testosterone levels! That's the difference between a TRANS and a natural BORN person with naturally high testosterone levels! No operation was needed for Caster Semenya to acquire naturally high testosterone levels and she should be allowed to complete AS IS!

Semenya was not BORN a female. If she was then there would be no debate about her gender and she won't have high levels of testosterone. Intersex had been called many different names over the years but the underlying concept is that the person can not be readily defined as a male or female because the the external genitalia (and sometimes also the internal sex organs) appear ambiguous. There is a well known medical condition (CAH) that causes females to produce excess testosterone and it is life threatening and requires treatment

I recently read a news article, in the Epoch Times, about a young lady who has been devastated by transgender men. At the age five, she became enamored with running. That was her life. As a top runner in high school, she was all set to receive a collage scholarship, that was until transgender males entered her sport. There was no way that she could compete. The politically correct politicians were all for transgenders and would do nothing to correct this travesty

Last I heard the majority of women's health services dealt with menstruating, pregnancy, child birth, ovarian cancer etc. I do not care if someone wears a dress or jeans. I do not care what plastic surgery they get. There's a video of a girl saying something like " Do you really believe someone would transition into female just to win against other women in sports?" And while I know mayority of trans athletes won't do it for that, for me the answer is yes, some people would do ANYTHING to win a competition, no matter what gender, race or whatever. Last Summer I helped out at my local semi pro Football Club's junior 6 a side tournament, it's the primary source of annual income - there was a boy playing in one under 8's girls teams, he was absolutely destroying his girl competitors, he was quicker, stronger and clearly had more football ability than any other of the 40 or so under 8's girls participating, several parents approached me (they just see it as their 7 years old daughters being pushed around by a boy) as a club representative, "wanting me to do something about it" obviously there's nothing I could do and my attempts to pacify them was to no avail, many said that they wouldn't be retuning to the tournament this year - baring in mind thats my local clubs primary source of income! As more and more transgender women compete, had there been no changes to the rules biological women will eventually stop competing thus the end of women's sport as we know it!

My son's gym teacher had to separate the boys basketball team from the girls at 9 years old. The school had previously separated boys from girls at 10. But I went to a game and my 9 year old son was about 5'4" and several boys were his size. Most of the girls were under 5'. The boys were running so fast down the court , that they were knocking the girls over. Several of the girls were so intimidated that they stood on the sidelines. That is a problem because they are graded for participation. So I think the coach made the right choice.

I am a bigtime track fan and have been for decades and follow track and field very closely. This is nothing but misdirection. This was never about transgender athletes because there are no world class transgender athletes anywhere in the world. Transgender women athletes have been able to compete since the 2000 Olympics and one has never won a medal, never even made it to the finals of any event in track world class/international competition in those 20 years. Only 1 person even made it to the Olympics. A weightlifter from New Zealand and she finished last. So this has never been about transgender world class track athletes because there are none!. It's hard to make a law against someone who doesn't exist. This is 100% about two so called DSD athletes who are women, have vaginas everything else, but there bodies naturally produce more testosterone than a typical female. One such woman, Christine Mboma from Namibia who won a silver medal in the 200 m in the last Olympics and the other woman is Francine Niyonsaba from Burundi one of the best distance runners in the world. There are 13 of these women and all of them are from Africa and the track powers that be got afraid of them for the next world championships and Olympics. It's curious that not one of them comes from a white country but all come for the poorest African countries. This rule is to ban them, but saying its about trans athletes arises passions of hate. People need to do there own research instead of believing everything they hear on the internet.
