I like how the day I’m actually fully considering and planning out steps I wanna take to being more like a girl I get collectively bombarded with MtF stuff :] Coming back to make an update about my trans journey so far! I first came out to my friends and immediate family (my mom and sibling) about going by a new name, all of which quickly picked up on calling me by said preferred name. I told my aunt from Texas about my preferred name during my sibling’s graduation party. She was definitely confused by it, but recent experiences has shown that she supports me, along with the rest of my family from Texas (which was really surprising to me tbh but I’ll take it) I got a bunch of more feminine clothes, skirts and such. I got a gaff. I got an endocrinologist doctor and was prescribed t-blockers. The teachers in my school are using my preferred name (hooray for my crap school having one of the most lovely guidance counselor ever) And next week I’m going to check in with my therapist to finally be prescribed estrogen! Stuff has definitely been rocky with my family here in Michigan, and it’s definitely not helped my anxiety with my future as a trans woman. However, I know that if I get on estrogen that it will be much harder for me to be affected by someone saying I’m not a real woman. In my own words, “It’s like someone pointing at a fish and saying it’s a bird. It’s just not, you’re wrong.” Be the fish you’re destined to be my trans girlies :D

I really regret that time in my life, not because it delayed my transition, but because i was denying myself something that i knew would make me happier out of fear.
