Miller is one of the best antiheroes off all time hands down. They wrote him his plight so poetically.

I think they killed him too soon, he was my favourite character by far, Holden is just Jon Snow in space by comparison

I would call him a noir character, someone that keeps pressing on with what he believes is right no matter how much it hurts him.

I love these guys. It's great to hear how open they are to suggestion. I've read all the books and watched the shows. Yes, some scenes felt shoehorn in and I prefer the book versions. But there are some changes they made to the show that I much prefer over the books. Thanks, gentlemen for allowing me to escape into these 2 identical yet different journeys!

One of the top 10 shows on tv now. My only regret is that it will be released all at once and I'll binge-watch then have to wait another year for the next season. Mind you it gives me the time to binge-watch the entire series until it is back

But waiting a week between shows is worse though.
@CastilloDelDiablo5 жыл бұрын
@@justgivemethetruth I'll just keep watching the whole lot from time to time and just before the next season comes out i have to watch the last episode of the last season to remind myself what happened.

It's a little bit sad that the insight these guys give only got about 6K viewers. I really like how they describe their process while being so cool about it.

There are a lot of great behind-the-scenes videos like this that have flown completely off the radar.

Thank you for this journey, guys! I'm two episodes away from the s3 finale and this show is absolutely epic. Can't wait to see what's in store for the next season. and btw; if even GRRM is like "why didn't I come up with this story?!" you know you're onto something :P

Not read the books but it is nice to see writers who try to keep true for the readers.

also I didn't like Amos or Holden at first on the show but he really grew on me by the end of the season.
@justgivemethetruth5 жыл бұрын
I got to like Amos a lot, like you, but started out liking Holden then getting bugged by him as I watched the show 2 and now 3 times, he does not seem like the good actor I thought he was at the beginning. But he is not that bad, and like Avasaralla he somehow weirdly fits.

I had read the first two books when I started watching the show and almost all of the actors (except Miller and Avasarala) looked really different than in my head, and I just couldn´t watch it. Now, years later, I started watching it again and I´m in love with the show.

Their whole idea that writers should be on the production staff, but open minded, has been my own personal argument for years. It would make book to visual media adaptations better in almost every case!

Yeah. Old problems come in different new forms and we have to solve them again, but differently...

MerlinCorwinoff Give me an example for a story where it is differently
They really need to make a Co-Dominion or Empire of Man show or movie while Larry Niven is still alive to at least get his input into what changes are made. Sadly Jerry Pournelle has already passed. For those who have not read the books like in The Expanse there is no artificial gravity without thrust or spin and they use wormholes for FTL travel. They do have a shield system but burn through from hits can happen and it is more of a soak up damage/energy for awhile but once overloaded will dump the energy onto the ship it is protecting so it has a very real flaw so it isn't magic.

There are definitely differences between book and show amos, but am I the only one who thought show amos is more like Timmy from the Novella?

I wish they didn't spend as much time as they do on avesarala on the show. mostly because they'll get where they're going without her yet and I really really really can't wait to get there.

I like the character, she appears to be a normal woman then she kicks you in the nuts and you realise you are dealing with a strong adversary who will do what it takes to get the job done.

What I don't understand and what doesn't get explained is the stupid injections of the white goo into the people during space travel. What is that about, and is there actually some precedent or reason such a silly thing was put into the show?
@CastilloDelDiablo5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are left to your own imagination on that one but it is well known about the effects gravity and acceleration has on our bodies. It will be an undescribed method to safely travel at speed without falling apart. The actions of sudden deceleration is shown in one of the episodes but acceleration virtually pulls your internal organs apart, so, on the outside you look fine but you are still dead. The fluid probably would work by filling the empty spaces and coagulating the fluids between the organs so your organs wouldn't move during acceleration/deceleration. It has an effect on them as they take a time to recover after such movements.

@@CastilloDelDiablo Studies by space researchers have found that living in space or low G has some reversible and irreversible negative effects on human body and human will have lower life expectancy in space. Astronauts spend more than 6-7 months of training, meds to adjust with earth after a long space trip of 1-3 years. So we basically need special care to have a normal life in space.
