He can sing, but I definitely don't think his voice is the same strength or has the same soothing tones that Tom and Danny's do. I agree that he should have more vocals, but Danny and Tom's voices were just made for each other, their different tones compliment each other and their harmonies are always on point. Plus, whenever I've seen them live and Dougie sings, I've noticed it seems like he's straining to project his voice, but maybe that's just the way it sounds to me. But I think McFly are so successful because they work so well as a group and they know best where their strengths lie. Dougie is by no means tone deaf, but he's also not as good a singer as Tom and Danny and I think that's why he doesn't get as many vocals. (I also get the impression that Dougie doesn't necessarily want to sing a lot of the time since he tends to shy away from the limelight).

What I love about this video is the different historical era costumes they're all wearing - whilst Dougie plays "Anne Boleyn" dressed in Georgian clothing, Danny plays her lover, a soldier from either WW1 or WW2, and when the boys are seen just playing the song, they look like Victorian street urchins, apart from that small point where they're dressed in modern clothing. Just makes the whole thing so much madder and so much more McFly!
