You need to turn on the engine and let get the temperature up at least few minutes before taking the side drain plug and fill if is needed until it starts leaking then put the plug back and turn off the car, that’s the correct way to do it

That was a first for me - I have NEVER seen an oil product that said to shake well before using.

How do you check the level of the transmission fluid? What temp does it have to be to get and accurate level reading? You should always locate and loosen the fill and check plugs BEFORE pulling the drain plug. this video does not currently explain the procedure on full

Thank you so much for your query and opinion. Bought the transmission fluid from Honda dealer as per requirements and used it accordingly. About the temp, car was idle for 45 minutes, so it was cold already and drained out till the last drop. The mechanic didn’t check any plugs… After changing it, drove 10K KM including trip to/from Toronto to NYC without any issues . Thanks and regards

@@stairwaytomusic71 There is a level fill screw behind the front drivers tire into the side of the transmission. Need a long extension to get to it. My wife's only took 3.6 qrts when the level screw started leaking so I knew it was full. I did this process and again after 500 miles because the fluid was dark on first change and there's still fluid in the torque converter so you don't get out 100% of the old fluid. Car had 80K miles on first change. After 5 months no issues and shifts a lot better....
