I can't help but notice every one of the cars he shows us has the most meticulous wiring in it. It's great to see someone who takes pride in there work and who doesn't just bolt in the same MSD and fuse block relay panel.

Man I swear, little details like that is what sets TMRC apart from all the other shops that are owned by a guy named jerry. Lol the commitment to Workman ship and attention to detail is absolutely amazing when you put a TM car beside a JB car and really look at the difference and reasoning and the steps ahead thinking behind all Tim’s products. Hands down most badass shop there is! Thanks for the videos and keep them coming! TMRC to the fuckin top!

Tim, I’ve never been down track in a car, strictly motorcycles, retired now, but I love watching your professionalism, I know it costs more, but the whole thing is so worth it. Your builds, inside and out, are stupendous. Do it right, or go home!

Thanks for the education on open transmissions . I remember those old strap on blankets . If the car has a halon fire system maybe put a nozzle in the tunnel ?

Tim! You and my dad are very like minded when it comes to the transmission side of things. I'm so thankful that I was given an opportunity to purchase a B&J 4 speed to put behind my blown alcohol big block in my truck. Makes me smile every time you mention automatics.

Looks good, I have always wondered how a driver would leave that area open, even with sfi approved housing. The damage from an high inertia overspeed can really do massive destruction if not contained.
@zrxdoug2 жыл бұрын
That little sheet of CF isn't gonna be containing a planetary gear set explosion..but it'll keep a fluid leak off the driver and maybe slow down smoke & flame a bit. I blew up a Torqueflite in an 11 second car back in '93 after breaking a sprag..the shrapnel came thru the factory floor pan, the dashboard, and the roof..and I got a little .22 sized souvenir in my right calf. I wouldn't run an automatic or Lenco without a ballistic blanket in something making this kind of horsepower and torque, SFI case or not.. You only get the one set of legs.

You guys should use Tim's description of the tunnel on the web store. "Ultimate Carbon Trans Tunnel: Does NOT look like shit and like a bunch of hillbillies put it in with sheet metal screws. Looks bad ass and like you take your car seriously. You should buy one so you don't look like a window licking dumbass. Please contact shop for further questions."

Come to think of it I don't know what a standard trans fluid temp is on a run but I'm gonna assume well over 200? 250 maybe? Noone likes getting sprayed with fluids at water boiling point. Not to mention the higher the temp the easier it is to set on fire. There are many reasons why i would have a car built by you guys and its all these little things that add up to the big picture. Plus Tim will say shit like "that looks like ass lets do something better" lol. You and my dad would be like 2 peas in a pod in a lot of ways! He'll fight for literally weeks to come up with something that not only works better but also looks good. Even if nobody will ever see it...

Man, tell this shit to the "Drag & Drive" guys..Steve Morris' wagon is essentially a beautiful street legal ProMod, but that poor transmission is stuck between 3k horsepower and almost two tons of dead weight. No disrespect intended to Steve or the other guys running open-faced sammich automatics, but those cars scare the bejeebers outta me.

Dude they still make and use lenco’s your nuts lencoracing.com/cs-transmissions/cs1/cs1-four-speed and yes they still come in a manual this is what pro mods should be running instead of this turbo 400’s and T5’s
@CowBoyPyro4 жыл бұрын
Robby King he never said they don't make then he just means that new promod drivers opt to use an auto. I still see Lynco's at the track but not on the new promods.
@ldnwholesale85524 жыл бұрын
Dont you realise in the time of 8 speed autos they have to use a 1950s Powerslide!! Fast and faster. And even with the trick of the week PG they still explode. Especially with telephone number horsepower. Though Lencoes are near as old!
