Yeah, she's admitted at panels and on other videos that working with the hot stuff for so long has probably caused a bit of nerve damage. It's not that her tolerance is high, she literally doesn't feel the heat anymore.

Your English is excellent, and your accent is very cute. I never mind subtitled videos but this was really nice, as I could pay complete attention to what you were doing in the video without having to read. Transparent worbla seems like a completely different monster than regular worbla, with less workability. I think for some things it could be really cool, but I don't think it will replace regular worbla for things like armor making or props.

It doesn't look like it holds its shape as well as normal worbla. Is anyone else seeing that? Like, it doesn't look like you can get as detailed with it.
@KamuiCosplay9 жыл бұрын
LynneBat You have to work actually completely different then with normal Worbla. It colds down really fast, burns your finger easier and loses it's shape very easy when it you heat it up again. You really need to practice to work with that material, so you also have to find a new way to add details to it.

Since the summer here tends to be really hot and humid I wonder if it would be dangerous that the material lose it's form. Do you think it would be good once it's molded to put some kind of varnish on it to help it?
@KamuiCosplay9 жыл бұрын
Goldarcanine A varnish wouldn't help, but usually you shouldn't be that worried about heat. Just don't let your stuff at the back of a car during the summer in the middle of the sun. Same rule for Worbla and other thermoplastics. :)

I saw some modelism videos where they use PET bottles as a transparent thermoplastic, basically using a heat gun exactly as you do. (but with gloves =P) Have you already tried it? do you tink Transparent Worbla has any advantages compared to this method? (considering the price, that is definitely much higher ^^)
