I have that Danelectro EQ. For almost 2 years, i like the way that pedal EQ my guitar signal, and how engage whit the other pedals. That pedal is awesome.

I was using a Boss EQ for a while to do a little boost-age when I was playing a 5150. Only problem with it was balancing the output amount to get that tone to drive ratio, but I ended up losing some of the dynamics of the guitar and amp when using it. I ended up scrapping that as my boost all together. Ended up getting an "AC boost" which is kind of like the "EP boost" by the same company just a little more options. It was VERY transparent.

The EQ pedal is a very good tip. You should try the CAE/MXr line driver boost. A very good clean boost and buffers the signal too.

I use the mxr micro amp on the fx loop and it sound quite clean, the tubes get tighter but that's something most of us want/need when you are using a boost for solos.

Sweet! I used to use my LPB1 the same way, in the effects loop at the end right before the power tubes, really neat sound! How do you like the micro amp? I've considered picking one up but have never use one. Thanks for watching!

I'll do that. I've been really digging boosts lately. I'd really like to get my hands on a KoKo Boost, but thats out of my price range for sure.

i am gonna be experimenting a bit with this idea ... i have a few here i built . i want to add a third pedalboard for fuzz and stuff so . ever try a klon or an amz mossfet ? how is that lil eq ?

I have not used a klon, thats a little rich for my blood! The amz looks interesting after looking at some layouts, I might have to put one on the future projects list. The Danelectro fish and chips is a great eq. Its not true bypass, but I find that the Danelectro pedals do keep your guitar signal intact and doesn't suck any tone. Thanks for watching!

yeah i have been on the look out for a super cheap fish on craigslist nearby ... lol , i am so cheap . i never tried a klon either , but the amz is really nice . i put them in a few of my amps too . they do seem to cut a bit of bass , on a bass but ...
