First time on growing ranunculus. I’ve pre-sprouted and grew my corms under grow lights until I had good size second leaves. And I’ve just put them in the ground in my floral shadehouse (20% cloth) this morning. I have different colors for corms, all pastello - so I really hope they work well.

Great video with most info I was looking for. Would you only use ceramic pots or would plastic do?

Hi Ruth, glad you enjoyed the video 😀 I'd use plastic pots too, just make sure you don't overwater the compost which could lead to the corms rotting 🙂

As ever, I have some questions. What do you do with the soil from the ... pre-spirited pot? And following on from that, do you find that soil that has already been used proves better for growing plants? Thanks for another great vid.

Great questions as ever, Neil. I use the soil from the tray again, will use it for my basil when the seedlings are ready to be planted out 😀 it depends on what you in the soil, if your growing veg then certain veg will take different nutrients which will need to be replenished. Rich organic matter is normally enough to add to any soil for it to be plant-ready 💚😀

Hi Lorisha, I use a good quality peat free multi purpose compost, that should.do the job 🌱
