Transport Fever 2 | East Yorkshire | Episode 5 | Setting Sail For Large Profits

Hello and welcome back to Transport Fever 2!
Our train from the last episode which carries food towards Goole, and tools back towards Hull is a massive hit. On occasions it's earning a whopping £5 million in one direction! We're probably going to have to consider upping the frequency due to the demand which is crazy!
We're going to be adding in a new passenger service up towards Driffield today, along with some new cargo lines to serve Hull with the fuel it requires. If we manage to pull these routes off, I see some large profits coming our way!

Last time we talked about the Stirling Single steam loco. Now we talk about here replacement. The Callidonian Railway's class 123. A single build in 1886 pure as a show piece for an exhibition in Edinburgh around that time. It was outdated from the start as 4-4-0 was also steaming up and down manier main line. It appeared the engine was very reliable and proved useful untill the grouping of 1923. Before that it had done mostly directors trains and being a pilot for the Royal train running 15 min ahead to make shure the King or Queen you know, would have an accident or such. During its years with the LMS it was eventually returned back into everyday use as a passenger engine on the Dundee to Perth main line. Pulled out of service as the last single on UK rails, in 1935. Restored by BR in '58 to pull special railtours untill end of steam. Now a static exhibit at the Riverside Museum. (Go watch ToT's video on this loco, he does it way better then me and i basically written down what he said.) I wonder what we will add next.

Joe and your building the train station we got to make sure that all platforms are easy to get to because sometimes you forget to do that and you’re wondering why the train is going to one platform in the main platform

In the future build a Thameslink style service through hull and under the smaller river to the towns at the other side. Can have a couple of underground stations under hull in the city centre. Can be like thameslink or even like mersey rail

Irl on land use maps commercial is yellow I think. But yes, it's quite unhelpful when every single game like it commercial is blue.

Hi Joe, great series, I'm playing along as I really like this map. I agree with you though on wanting to move on to another project when things start getting a little hectic. Money isn't a problem etc so I seem to want to start a new map.

You could add in a cross river ferry like you did with Piddlemouth Coast.

You have many mods for bus stations and such but you never use them so can you maybe use more bus stations that are mods

Totally not. It's a Scottish engine, if any it is far closer to Emily. It was build as a showpiece and proved very useful despite being outdated before even built. It's the Callidonian class 123
