A recreation in 1:1 scale, based on the Ordnance Survey Revisions of 1898, of a time when a London based commuter railway extended its operations 50 miles into the heart of rural Buckinghamshire. In this video we make the return trip on the little line created by the Duke of Buckingham, at the time the Metropolitan Railway took over operations in 1899. It's late afternoon and, as the shadows lengthen, relax as we chug gently through a peaceful landscape.
I had a couple of problems during the recording when the train, for no reason, reversed. So there are jumps at both Wood Siding and Wotton stations.
