Transport Fever 2: Uxbridge branch, Metropolitan Railway, in 1912 - 1

The 6 mile branch from Harrow on the Hill to Uxbridge opened in 1904 and was little changed when, in 1912, the Ordnance Survey large scale maps of the area were updated. This recreation is firmly based on those maps and aims to bring to life a vanished world before suburbia and modernisation swept away the peaceful Middlesex countryside (as well as the slums and workshops of old Uxbridge).
Erratum: I mention the church at West Harrow as being St Andrew's. It is St Peter's.

I can only use the assets (houses, stations, rails, scenery etc.) available either in the base game or generously made available by modders.
The Metropolitan Railway used (and still uses) fourth rail electrification, with two driving tracks and two electric but there is no mod for this track and I have chosen to use non-electrified track instead.
There are very few models of houses, farms, cottages and shops of this period available for the game, so I have used whatever was to hand and I hope that the general impression is convincing even if the detail is not.
Some assets, like fences and doors, flicker. This may caused by problems with TF2 or perhaps my video card is not up to the job. Sorry.

I love these sorts of videos, its nice to pay attention to history. I've also noticed you're using the Generic British loco pack, the author who made it (Gr1m), has made a new pack with even more locos, alongside a new coach pack

Anthony, another great video, one I was looking forward to seeing, with bonus stations (Vine Street) included!

Couple of things - the church in West Harrow is St Peter's not St Andrews - and there was no platform 5 at H-on-the-H in 1912. Platforms 5&6 appeared as part of the 1930s rebuild. Enjoyed the video - shame the Uxbridge lines were never joined up.

I am interested in recreating a 1900 version of Golders Green (don't ask!). Would you recommend Transport Fever 2 as an option? I have the relevant series of 1890s Ordnance Survey plus a whole load of photos of the area. How easy was it to do for the Uxbridge branch? Getting the building materials correct etc., especially the churches and period posters

This is a beautiful and impressively detailed recreation! Could you perhaps provide the name of the mod that has the electrical poles and wires you’ve used? I’ve been looking for those for my map I’m working on. I’d also love to download the map if it is on the Workshop!
