I stopped playing this game for a bit, I recently got back into it, and forgot how signals worked, but immediately remembered this specific tutorial, was the one that helped me the most :)

Because of this video and your excellent explanation, I finally understand train signals. \o/ Logical and entertaining. Thank you very much. It is also a pleasure to see the games logic shine through. The player just needs to understand how and why it works. Back to the game.

You can use signals as checkpoints in the line queue. It is very useful some times when you have a complex infrastructure.

You can connect 2 platforms in 1 line with 2 tracks with 2 trains both going 2 way. Just put other side a waypoint line 1 will not use the waypoint but line 2 will use the waypoint now train 1 using line 1 will not need to find the waypoint while train 2 will need to find waypoint as its using line 2. Now both tracks are 2 way.

after the new patch, we can use dip switches on the line that coems from tulsa, instead of making another split, just make the first split a dip switch. :)

It is actually easier/saver to remove the signals by zooming out and click the blue squares that symbolize the signals

Interesting. Is there a system for automatically spreading signals across a track every given interval? That's one of the handiest features in OpenTTD, particularly when you're laying long lines, so I expect Transport Fever to have something similar.
@Stealth17Gaming8 жыл бұрын
I was hoping that it did, but so far I haven't found it yet. For now you'll have to put the signals down manually.

Is a general rule of thumb “put a signal where you want the train to stop/wait”?

hey stealth it has been a while, but i never really stop to watch the channel, and i would like to see you try a Large / American / 1970 start / Hilly / Hard map / as they are saying that is really difficult to get any kind of profit and most players is more like to fail... i'd bought this game 3 days ago and like in my childhood with the holecosters taycons i got me completely addicted to it, but i'm way to out of shape for this type of game, so i would like to see you have a go, if its possible, and i think i would be a nice break down from the constant Cold Waters / From the Depths vids.

Good point! I'll have a look at it and see what I cook up.
