Interestingly, there is an analogous function called a SIFA on German trains, if I understand correctly.

@@hexvaldr These are not the same. Sifas are a ticking brake. if the conductor is unconcious and the button for the check is not pushed after a set time, it will brake. The dead men's switch in germany needed to be held PERMANENTLY, once the button is released, it will brake. The german train conductor association switched it later, for convenience purposes and making train conductors less tired and inefficient when operating trains.

They nerfed detoriation in some cases by 100%. The loc would fall apart around you at launch, LOL. It's at least playable now.

@@joe125ful All the simulated machinery in the loc has a life-span. At launch it was extremely over-tuned and gear would go defect in minutes. They re-tuned it a lot in the latest patch, some items can go broken anymore, like the speedometer.

I'm not sure if it's an actual feature but you might want to look at hooking up the airlines to the rail cars when you went to the back of the train near the rail cars to unhook it sounded like it was hissing like air was coming out that might help with braking

Yeah, it's actually 1. novo- (like "new") 2. - sibir - (like in Siberia) 3. -sk (an ending part for city name). Novo-sibir-sk (sounds like noh-voh-see-beer-sk). It basically means "a new city in Siberia".
