Today we are talking about different ways you can transport your inflatable boat. We are showcasing our Stryker LX 320 (10' 5") that we have attached launching wheels onto the transom to make transportation easier. When we get down to Pender Harbour later on, and we put our Mercury 9.9MH on the transom, the wheels will come in handy when we are ready to launch the boat in the ocean.
The LX 320 weighs about 125lbs and I'm going to show you how I carry the boat from our deck to the truck, making sure to bend at my knees and consulting your physician before you lift anything.
Once the boat is at the truck, you can attach the wheels, grab the front handle at the bow of the boat and lift it onto a sled deck being careful not to get it near the sharp edges(you can use cardboard to cover these so there is no damage that can occur). If you don't have a sled deck, there are several other ways you can transport your boat. For example, you can put your boat on top of your tonneau cover or inside your truck box or on a road runner boat trailer. You can also deflate the boat and pack it into 2 bags, making this transportation even easier. (Bag is about the size of a hockey bag). There are lots of ways to transport, any way you like!
