Hi Paul! Thanks for another amazing update video. Love seeing how the Metro is coming along. Something I think might help viewers of the videos in future is if you were to put a Date stamp in the top corner while you're showing footage of sites and stations, that way you don't constantly have to say when you took the footage (and the audience doesn't have to try and remember which images were from which days). Hi Paul, thanks for the interesting video. I think I like the Randle Lane Central Station entrance the best. The gate there looks almost like a royal entrance. Having a railway station in Crows Nest should bring the area back to how it was when the trams used to go there. It becomes more centralised with the Metro, as it would have been when the trams went here. I think the place was almost forgotten about when it was only served by buses. Anyway, take care. The Crows Nest Metro Station is about 500 metres or so from St Leonard’s Station if you walked along the Pacific Highway. Bus stops will be at both stations. Crows Nest station is designed to be seperate whereas Chatswood would be a better station to transfer from old rail to Metro.

Another great video! Is it my eyes or is the new Crows Nest Metro Station the ugliest brown brick building out of all the other new metro stations? I love the canopies, the glass panels when lit up but the building itself looks really ugly! A lot of the shop front at Cross Nest have a similar brown brick design. The Crows Nest Metro Station frontage and connecting developments is quite significant. I can see it really becoming an Eat Street style of place with the 2 train stations and high residential density nearby. The artwork at the entrance of the Metro station is quite colourful and it provide a kind of juxtaposition to the exterior brickwork. I reckon it will look great.

I wonder why metro did not start from South West, the furthest suburb with potential growth and expansion. These metro areas take 30min while South Western Sydney has to suffer 1h30 each way and forever on the bottom of the list for development.
@fittipaldi73269 ай бұрын
Ultimately they will come .. but the The Hills District had no heavy rail until the North West Metro was opened in 2019. Before the M2 opened in the late 90s it also took 90 minutes to get the city from areas like Baulkham Hills and Castle Hills as you had to get a bus into Parramatta then a train to the city. If you can get Sydenham from the south west you will be able to save time on the Metro.
@fittipaldi73269 ай бұрын
Also the North West is a Liberal stronghold and the conservative governments were keen for the driverless non unionised trains.

I am from and live in Melbourne. This is a blog about the Sydney Metro and you state this eff witted nonsense. Truly pathetic. Their new Western suburbs will have a modern efficient, frequent Metro system whilst ours have to rely on V/Line operated by some of the most old broken down trains in peak, and some suburbs do not even have a frequent bus service. They will have a frequent metro to their second airport whilst we are still farting around with our rail project and we cannot even provide a decent frequent PTV bus service from Sunshine. I will say it to you and I will say it to other Melburnians who have a chip on their shoulder. Their Rail network is FAR, FAR, FAR superior to ours. Our rail network sux.
