Remembering seeing rotf the first time and now seeing it again I don't blame Leo for freaking out so much considering out of those in the car he's the one with the least amount of experience with Cybertronians. All the others had been in situations like that before but he's just a computer nerd that got dragged into life-threatening situations. Granted yeah him freaking out at that point was not helping the situation but you can understand why he was panicking so much. Poor guy.
