This happened to a friend of mine. Her fella decided he was a woman after 12yrs together. His attitude was that he was ‘brave’ for deciding to be his ‘authentic’ self.. his narcissism failed to recognise that he had effectively robbed her of her of 12 yrs of her life when she could have been with someone who didn’t have these issues.. hopefully this doc will shine a light on the victims left behind and the impact on those who have loved someone who lived a lie and took them along on the ride. For me, it is a contemporary manifestation of borderline personality disorder and narcissism.. they bask in the attention this provides them without empathy for the damage left behind

India has a history of what they call "third gendered" people born male but not female. Surveys in India show it to be more patriarchal than European and North American countries. The number of males identifying as female far outnumber females identifying as male. It's also more accepting of male homosexuals than lesbians. Females are under more pressure to be conservatively behaved, whereas males have more flexibility especially with sexual behaviour and identity.

If so I guess you could be part of a documentary one day especially if you live in Western Europe or North America, where I'm sure there must be a growing number of unfortunate men whose wives have joined the trans train. You're not angry at these women who have also suffered (albeit differently) you're in extreme pain. I agree with you, they aren't widowers.
