I don’t get the hate. I really enjoyed This movie. Way better than people give it credit for. Some far fetched scenes but a cool solid movie nonetheless.

Agreed. I've seen films devise plot points that are just as far-fetched as this film and viewers don't bat an eye. But I guess the masses pick and choose their outrage.

Agreed. I really liked it and don’t get the hate either.

As for me it's pretty simple: for some reason many people wanted to see a standard thriller from Shyamalan about catching a butcher who slaughters people, and not a film in Shyamalan's unusual magical realism universe, modern fairy tale with its own rules, about the journey of a man trapped between his dark and light sides. Although even the first trailer wrote about this in capital letters on the entire screen) Plus a very inattentive view of the haters, who completely missed the entire subtext of the contrasting views on the attitude towards people from Cooper and Raven. And the more unintelligent people are, the louder they scream. Categoricality is a sign of limitation)

Right with you 💯. I thought it was fantastic. Probably one of Josh Hartnetts finest work.

Trap is the worst film I’ve seen in years. My partner will be living down this pick, roughly, forever. Just read a NYT review lauding Trap for comedy. Now *that’s* funny! Even the 🐶 laughed.

Thanks for your opinion. Never watch an original film that is not close to your style and which you do not understand from the moment the premise is clearly stated in the trailer. And especially never watch Shyamalan's deliberately illogical fairytale films. Just not your director) Google it and you will find out that many consider Trap one of the best films of 2024, with detailed justification for their opinion on all moments of the film)
