Well done for getting out, but my Dad taught me never to drive on grass when its soggy, but an invaluable video for what to do to extricate yourself when it ll goes pete tong" Good work as a team!

That’s good advice from your Dad! 😊 We avoid soggy grass where we can, can’t always so that’s why we got the boards. Many thanks for watching. 😊

Well that looked like a mission. We have a set of snow chains and they have got us out of snow, sand and mud. Well worth the investment if you tend to take your motorhome to places you shouldn't like we do far too often, Much Love Darren and Alison 🤟♥️

@@findingxanadulife Yes they might be worth investing in, would take so long to get out either! 😁 Many thanks for watching. 😊

You need to fix those thin ones with a strong peg to stop them being spun out. Never going to match those large ones of course but for a small van they can do the trick. You can also park up on the thin ones in the first place. It is surprising how much they prevent sinking in.

Yes we did try that but ground to flinty to bang big pegs in, tried some smaller pegs but they did nothing. Yes we have parked on them before, it was quite firm where were pitched just slippy grass, ground got softer in the area we had to reverse to. Thanks for watching 👍

@@wheelersinthewild Yes and you can't get a mallet to the peg due to it being under the van. Parking on something is the best idea if in any doubt. Just getting that starting roll can be all it needs. Main thing is you got out and both managed to maintain your calm.

Good video, well done for getting out of the mud 👍

Hello both 🤗 gotta love getting out of the mud! Trev, you should have driven as there'd be less weight in the motorhome then 😜😇😜 xxx

@@WattsOccurring Hello you! 😍 He did well using the combo of both the mats and the boards, neither worked on their own. It’s be too long since we last saw you, I’ve missed your insults! 🤣 Thank you for watching, hope you’re both well. xx

Morning Trevor & Tracey hope your both keeping well, firstly a early happy Christmas to you both, enjoyed watching your new video and you absolutely made the right decision to move away from the trees. Very useful information on the grip aids, they certainly did get you out of a sticky situation. Nice to hear your meeting up with your family. Looking forward to your next video. Best wishes Graham & Glen (G&G)😊 xx

@@ssMan-nf9kn Hello lovelies 😊 thank you and a very Happy Christmas to you both as well, how will you be spending yours? Yes the trees there are huge and close and prone to dropping limbs. The combination of the traction boards and grey mats did the trick, either on their own didn’t work, and the legs saved us as well when we thought we’d try moving without the boards, it took a long time but left the least amount if damage. Thank you for watching glad you enjoyed it, next video will be the start of our NC500 trip, hopefully next Sunday 🤞xx

That was hard to watch. You should have reduced tyre pressure and got some momentum going. Would have easily got out with one good snatch
@wheelersinthewild6 күн бұрын
@@NoelG-IRE Thanks for the suggestion, not sure it would have helped much in that particular situation as grass on pitch was very wet and they’re just normal road tyres. Many Thanks for watching despite it being hard! 😊

I think you should stick to campsites and hard standings with that monstrosity. If it's adventures you want buy a normal vehicle, next time you may not be that lucky. That thing does not belong in the wild and you will come a cropper and so may other who copy you.
